Speaker Volume Controller RMS 75W (Rotary Type) - White
This is a rotary-type wall plate volume control for speaker systems with power ratings of up to 75 watts per channel and impedance ratings of 4 to 16 ohms. This rotary control can be set to one of twelve positions, including the minimum (off) and maximum volume settings.
The wall plate mounts into a standard single-gang, low-voltage wall bracket (not included) and has inputs and outputs for one pair of stereo speaker wires (4 input connections and 4 output connections). It can accept speaker wire in sizes from 14 to 16 gauge and provides a frequency response range of 35 Hz to 20 kHz (+0/-2db) at the full power rating of 75 watts per channel.
Please note: This volume control does not include a wall mounting bracket.
- User's Manual (Aug 11, 2011)
|Input||2 channels, 75 watts per channel|
|Output||2 channels, 4 to 16 ohms impedance matching|
|Frequency Response||35 Hz to 20 kHz (+0/-2 db) at rated power|
|Wire gauge||14 to 16 AWG|
When setting up the speaker volume controls, it is important to match the impedance of your speaker system with the load rating of your amplifier. This is done by setting the jumpers on the volume control to compensate for the number of speakers you have in a parallel configuration and the impedance level of the speakers.
If using a single pair of speakers rated at the same load level as your amplifier, you don't need to make any changes - just leave the jumper in the default x1 position. However, if your speakers are of a different impedance level and/or you have more than one set of speakers in parallel, please refer to the following chart as a guide for setting the jumpers on the speaker volume control.
Note that for any speakers wired in series, the overal impedance level is the sum of each speaker. So two 4 ohm speakers wired in series is the same impedance as a single 8 ohm speaker.

Questions and Answers
PROS: Works fine...after a little fine running of the speaker wire
PROS: Great unit- Priced better than most distributors.
CONS: The depth..You cant use a box for this device. You have to use a trim out ring.
Knob works smooth better the others I have purchased.
Looks great on the wall and adjust the volume just as expected.
PROS: Easy to install.
Comes with cover plate.
As good if not better then name brand volume controls, for way less $$$.
PROS: low cost, easy to install, good build quality
PROS: Metal enclosure, does exactly what it is supposed to do.
CONS: Wire terminals a little small.
PROS: ordered two and one was broken on the slider
CONS: one was broken on the slide and had to return, only after returning the previous one that was also missing clips. A bit disappointing. The one that does work seems to work quite well.
Then, the connectors are not seated very positively and would become disconnected when inserting the unit in the box. So I had to wrap them with electrical tape to get them to stay, which added size making fitting even harder.
Once in the wall, these work great! I have no loss of signal when running multiple speakers like I did with a simple a switch.

CONS: Large single box order only had the volume controls damaged. We assumed the four volume controls were damaged prior to shipping since no other items were damaged.
I am truly sorry to hear about the condition that these controllers arrived in. I see that you already have an RMA for replacements set up. As soon as you have received the replacements and have had a chance to evaluate them, please feel free to reply back to this review with an update. My apologies again for any inconvenience this may have caused and should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
