Planning to install it skipping a stud in between, as I have an indent on the wall, is the wall plate 45'' wide, will a 75'' tv with 80 lbs fit on it hanging on the top in the middle without bending it ?
    A shopper on Sep 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Should be ok with bolts in studs top & bottom at the ends. This is a very well made, sturdy bracket. At 80 lbs, I don't think there will be a problem ar the middle. That said, I'd sleep better putting at least hollow wall anchors or 3/8 toggle bolts top and bottom in the middle or there abouts. Good luck!
Does this mount support a vesa 300x300 pattern?

Can this mount be secured to the studs through drywall?
    David P on Mar 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yep. That is how mine is mounted. If I remember correctly the kit comes with screws to mount to studs and drywall anchors to mount to drywall.
Will this hold an 82" ultra thin Samsung (Q6FN)? 82" TV says 400x400 Vesa and weighs 135. So weight wise it should be okay (lag bolts in 2x12s between studs). The 70" size is throwing me off, but I bought this 5 years ago for a 64" 3D plasma, which I think probably weighs the same as the new TV.
    Jeremy W on Oct 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The screen size is not important. If your weight and Vesa are a match then you are safe at just about any size.
Will this mount work on a curve tv?
    A shopper on Sep 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most curved screens have a flat mounting Vesa bracket. either 200x200 or in the case of a samsung 65" curved 400x400. This part will fit flat to bracket and then the curvature would be outside this area.

    Great mount, great price
I bought this to hang my 70" Sharp Aquos tv on my wall, it was easy to install(while not impossible to do by yourself, it definitely helps to have someone else there to assist you). I didn't use the lag bolts that came with it after some of the other reviews, i went to home depot and purchased a few new ones. It bolted on the wall into two studs, using 4 lag bolts and is working great. There are only two things that i could possibly complain about...

even though this bracket is wide enough to span across 3 studs, i could only mount it to two of them. There were no bolt holes in the center of the bracket to line up with the middle stud. When i moved the bracket over so that one of the holes lined up with the center stud, the other holes would not line up with the other two studs. It isn't much of an issue since the 4 bolts are more than enough to hold it, but having two extra bolts in another stud would have made me feel better.

also, upon hanging the TV on the bracket, you have to slide a little catch upwards, and then tighten a screw...due to the size of the television and how close it is to the wall, it was difficult to reach in there to slide it up and hold it there while tightening the screw. still, you only have to do it once, so not that big of a deal.

I highly recommend this mount to anyone with a large TV.

PROS: Easy to hang, cost effective, holds my TV on the wall.

CONS: no built in level (who cares)
no mounting hole in the center of the bracket

    It's a winner
Used it to mount an 80" Sharp flat screen. Did not use the lag bolts but bought new ones from Home Depot. Bought new mounting bolts that were 12mm from Lowe's and they worked perfectly. This unit is well made, strong and easy to work with.

I had a 24" phillips screw driver so tightening the lock screws was no problem. Without the screw driver it would have been a bit of a challenge. It does help to have them "snugged" up a bit so that it is easier to get them locked.

All-in-all, this is a quality product from a great supplier and was everything that I could have asked for.

PROS: Very well made. Sturdy and decent instructions.

    CONS: None to speak of.....

PROS: I have this this holding a 80 sharp with no problems looks great on wall. Saved me at least $150 works like a charm

    Love it
Love it. It does exactly what it says it does and is strong enough to hold me up. like I said only one hiccup otherwise it would have been a 10. but the other is and I don't expect anyone to mess with it so it should be fine. I would recommend checking all the screws before putting your 65in tv up. another "con" is the tv is so flush against the wall its hard to lock it in place. which really isn't a con. just makes it hard...im sure if I had a smaller tv it would have been easer, but that's hardly the mounts fault.

PROS: Easy to install. All the hardware for mounting came with it. Was able to hold me up (over 200lbs).

CONS: one of the locking pins or brackets or whatever you want to call it had a manufacture glitch. it would not screw in. so one side is not locked in.

    Satisfied As Always With Monoprice
First, I'm always blown away by how Monoprice can get their supplies so cheap. When I told my friends and coworkers I was going to be mounting my $3k 64-inch plasma to a $25 dollar mount, they either thought I went off the deep end or immediately asked for referrals to this site. Second, shipping is always incredibly fast (though I do wish Norco Overnite included Saturday delivery). Overnight really means OVERNIGHT.

Everything arrived double boxed and neatly packaged. The quality of the metal for the framework is incredible and I'd give it a solid run against $100+ mounts from P***less and the like. Tons of hardware was included and I happened to have all the necessary tools except for a ratchet. I apparently needed the next size socket up but made a pair of locking pliers handle the task for the lag bolts.

As for installation instructions, can we please decide whether we are using mm or in? It's confusing to go back and forth and you can end up accidentally drilling your pilot holes for the lag bolts too large. I ended up just eyeballing it and using a 3/16 bit that was shallower than the recommended 80mm depth. Did it suck manually tapping the extra length? Yes, but I made it work. Besides the scare of one lag bolt bending slightly from overtorque, all the stock lag bolts went in no problem and I was able to tap into two studs (my apartment has very bizarre spacing). The only other issue I ran into was the spacers that were included we're either too long to use with one bolt or the opening was too narrow to use with another. My solution was to carefully cut the larger spacer in half (...with a serrated knife and a hammer...DELICATELY), after which it was the perfect length. After that grueling and noisy process, the rest was a piece of cake and everything came out well.

For a novice, installation is manageable, but this was a lesson learned by my friend who helped with installation that experience makes things go much smoother. There's a torrent of problems one can run into that could either damage your tv or snap off one of the lag bolts at the head and that will be one MESSY extraction.

Long story short: this can be an easy DIY with the right friend tagging along, but you need to gauge your own experience level and determine if you're willing to risk your considerably more expensive television over self-installation. If in doubt, buy the mount (GREAT MOUNT) and find someone who can install it for you.

PROS: Everything is included and at a price that invokes friendly retorts of "you've got to be &*%¥ing kidding me"

CONS: Installation does require some guesswork, had to fabricate some parts on my own

    Great bracket for the price
I purchased this to mount a 70" LCD at the office. It installed easily enough but the width of the TV makes it hard to reach the screws that adjust the tilt. This shouldn't be a problem with smaller televisions/monitors.

    PROS: Price

CONS: Adjusting the tilt is challenging once the TV is mounted

You can't beat the price and the quality of the bracket isn't bad. The instructions (for mounting on block wall) said to use a 10mm (roughly 3/8") masonry bit, but the list of tools needed showed a 1/2" bit. I chatted with tech support and he said to use the 10mm bit and hammer in the plastic anchors which are 1/2" (yeah, I questioned it, but didn't want to take a chance). Of course the plastic anchors crushed into pieces. I bought good metal anchors (the correct size for that bit) at the hardware store and everything is good now. Also, if the bolts that attach the brackets to the back of the TV are too long, the instructions say to use the supplied plastic spacers I just cut the bolts to the proper length which seemed a lot more sturdy than adding plastic spacers.

PROS: Great price. Simple design. Sturdy bracket.

CONS: Mistake in mounting instructions and bad advice from tech support.

    Response from Monoprice

My apologies for the trouble you encountered with the wall mount and the misinformation you were given. Do you recall who you spoke with just so I can make them aware of this? I have also forwarded this onto our Product Development team for review and to make any necessary changes that may be needed. I'm glad you were able to get the issue corrected, but the above issues you mentioned still need to be addressed. Thank you again

Very solid mount for large TVs
Great mount for P60VT60 Panasonic TV. This was on a wall with 24" on center spacing for the studs. Feels very solid even with the 90lb tv. All the required hardware came with it with plenty extra for other types of tvs or wall mount conditions.

    PROS: Very sturdy.
    Lots of hardware included.

    CONS: None.
