will this mount work for a samsung 55" 4K TV?
    New User U on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use it on a 55 in Samsung. weight is not an issue as long as u anchor it properly to the wall.
Will it work with a 65’ tv??
    A shopper on Jan 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I put up a 60” plasma which is probably in 100lb range and this mount wasn’t up to task for it. I have to keep a board wedged at bottom of tv to keep it from tilting all the way forward. Not real happy. I think max weight rating for this mount is in 50 to 75lb range
How big is the center opening?

    Looks great, feels sturdy
This is a great choice for those who wish to install a hide-away box behind their TV for power/signal cables. Standard faceplates will install flush in the large, open portion of the wall bracket. It has so many mounting holes it will likely meet your installation needs. I required mine to be off-center by 3 inches and the holes in this bracket made that possible with no drama. It also features quick-release handles which will allow you to quickly adjust the tilt angle without any tools. Only reason it didn't get a full 10 from me is the large 'MADE IN CHINA' label on the wall bracket itself.

Sturdy, Great quality, Easy to Setup
After reading previous reviews I feel it necessary to provide clarification. In the instructions it says to use a 10mm drill bit or a 6mm drill bit. The 10mm bit is used if you are mounting the lag bolts into concrete or other type of masonry wall so that the plastic anchors will fit into the drilled holes. The 6mm bit is required for mounting into wooden studs. I used a 3/16 bit which worked as well, a 1/4inch bit will also work and still give the bolt enough bite.

The other complaints about the TV tilting after tightening the tension arms are because there is are Allen-headed screws on the opposite side of the mounting bracket. Once you hang the tv and get the angle desired, take it down and tighten these Allen screws down. The makes the angle stay when you go to mount it permanently.

Thank You MonoPrice for another great product!!!!

PROS: This was far easier to setup than I thought it would be. I have a Sony 55nx720 and it works perfectly. The security bars also fit without any issues. The wide variety of TV mounting bolts is a plus, also if your TV has recessed bolts in the VESA pattern there are spacers in the kit.

    CONS: None

    Solid Bracket
Installed 60" Sharp flat screen on wall ...Heavy. It is in a Large room so need to put at angle. TV has stayed on wall after one year and it has not fallen off. So guess it is fine !

Does what it is supposed to:) Keep the TV on the wall.
Spend your SAVED $ on DVDs

PROS: Solid Bracket! *PRICE, Easy to Install, *PRICE!! Fast shipping, *PRICE!! Looks Great, *Price!! Great design.

Oh did I forget to mention the Price? Saved so much money $ with MONOPRICE.
Similar bracket was $300 at BB and other stores. Took that one back right away.

CONS: The tilt lock on the unit is not locking TV at Angle, maybe too much weight at how I mounted it, but it works fine any way. Dads TV is on a big wall in a big room, So it works leaning on the wall as it is.
MONOprice has always been fast and friendly if I needed to return things. So not an issue for me.

    Great Bracket

PROS: Excellent quality and very easy to install with all necessary screws, etc to attach to the wall. The opening is an exact fit around a standard outlet plate making it easy to install an electrical outlet right in the middle of the mount. Tilt works very well and is easy to adjust.

    CONS: None

Overall well worth the price. This was my second wall mount from monoprice and I would recommend these products to anyone.

    PROS: Solid Frame
    Easy to install
Great price compared to other stores and sites
    Fast Delivery
Has the anti thieft feature to protect your investment

CONS: Tilt feature needs alot of work. Did not hold my 60" to the angle that I wanted. As soon as I had the angle that I wanted, TV would tilt all the way down. Had to put some blocks beneth the brackets.

inexpensive price makes up for the cons
The tilt is very difficult. Don't buy this if you plan on adjusting the tilt regularly, or if you need it tilted at a specific angle. I had one person hold it tilted up a little while I connected the cables in back. That was handy, but then we tried our best to hold it level while we struggled to tighted the knobs. When let go it stayed close to level. At least close enough that I'm happy. But I plan to never attempt to adjust the tilt again cause it was so hard. If I had a do over, I'd buy one without tilt.

Comes with 6 BIG screws and 6 washers to attach it the the wall. After screwing the bracket into the wall and hanging the TV, there's a bar that you're supposed to slide into the bracket to prevent the TV from lifting up and falling off. BUT the bar can't fit over the washers. You need to skip the washers on the top row of screws. So, I had to unscrew the top row of screws, remove the washer, and rescrew them. Oncce the washers were gone, the bar slid in easily. The instructions clearly say to use the washers. I think it's still plenty strong without the washers, but it shows that this product wasn't really tested.

PROS: inexpensive, very secure, wide bracket made it easy to install over wall studs, includes wide variety of screws for attaching to TV.

CONS: Tilt angle is imprecise and almost impossible to adjust. Security bar doesn't fit over supplied washers. Need to install without washers on top row.

Quality Wall Mount with Erroneous Instructions
As usual, very good quality for the price - hooray Monoprice.

However, I had two problems regarding the instructions. One MAJOR, the other more of a quibble.

I was bolting to wooden studs. The instructions say to drill 10mm (3/8") pilot holes. I did all my measurements then drilled the 4 holes. Thought I'd test one bolt before heaving the mount. And the hole is WAY bigger than the bolt. The instructions are completely wrong. I read another review complaining of this who suggested using 15/64" pilot holes. I did this and it worked fine. But I had to move the position about 1.5" lower than I had originally planned since I had these giant useless holes.

My other complaint, also mentioned by another reviewer, is that the instructions show a diagram where you bolt it into 3 studs. Great if you're able to center your TV on a stud. Not so in my case, so I was trying to decide whether it was better to bolt the mount onto 3 studs as per the diagram and have the TV be offset from the mount's center vs. center the mount and bolt to two studs only. Absolutely no mention in the instructions about this. I went with centering and bolting to 2 studs, but i'm still not sure if that was the best choice.

So install with care. Maybe Monoprice changed the bolt sizes for this mount, but didn't update the instructions? Monoprice folks if you read this - please spend some time on better instructions and fixing major errors like this!

PROS: Great price, very good quality.
Fairly easy to install (see caveats below).
    Security feature.

    CONS: Very poor instructions.

    Good bracket, horrible lockable design
Instead of the normal thumbscrews to secure the bracket from coming off the wall mount, the designers used angle iron pieces that are supposed to slide into the assembly and permit the use of small (luggage style) locks for security. On my Bravia's (KDL52EX700), these brackets don't reach the tv mounts, meaning that I cannot secure the TV from falling at all.
I had to find long screws to go into the bottom holes, where thumbscrews would normally be found.

PROS: Sturdy bracket, reasonable amount of mounting holes for a variety of the LCD sizes.

CONS: The tensioners do not seem to apply adequate friction to keep TV from tilting down with the slightest touch.

Security-oriented locks are useless on a standard 200mmx200mm TV's, making them a fall hazard.

    Had problems with this
Of the three mounts I ordered, this was the only one I had a problem with. As with the others, the materials were fantastic and the mounting instructions were clear and easy to follow. Everything went perfectly until the very last step. After the tv was hung, you are supposed to insert a special security bar so that the tv is completely fastened. For some reason, on my setup, this bar cannot be inserted. As soon as you put it into the bracket slot, it hits the head of the wall screw and will not go in more than an inch or so. It's very disappointing. I know we followed all the directions exactly so I can only assume it's a design flaw in the mount.

Monoprice support was no help. They could not understand the problem or offer any solutions. As of now, the tv is on the wall but not really secured in any way. I will probably have to go a big box store and buy some supplies to jury-rig my own way to make the tv safe.

    PROS: Great materials, easy instructions

CONS: The security bar didn't fit!

    Tilt function does not work
I used this to mount 2 TVs. One was a 58" and the other a 50". On BOTH TVs, I continue to turn the hand fastener to lock where the TV to go.....after tightening all the way on both side, the tv falls right back do the default position of fully tilted. I will never purchase this mount again

PROS: Strong, sturdy mount with openings

CONS: Tilt function does not work
