The bracket worked perfectly with a newer (2016) 43" TV. The TV is very lightweight - nowhere near the max weight the bracket can hold, so don't be afraid to go beyond the max 42" recommendation. Before buying any bracket, be sure to check the mounting holes on the back. Mine were 200 mm x 200 mm, which is the "Maximum VESA" value you see listed for this bracket.
It mounted the TV quite close to the wall, which made it a little tricky to put in the final screws that secure the plate that attached to the TV to the wall bracket, but it's not bad.
PROS: Really nice price. Mounts TV close to the wall. Only requires a single stud. Easy to install (mostly).
CONS: The final step of the installation is slightly tricky.
Does what it's supposed to at a rock bottom price. Holds the TV just about flush to wall. Plenty of fasteners included. I mounted an older Vizio 32" VX32L HDTV10A to a pine paneled wall. Simple. Just remember to leave enough room above the screen to lift the TV up high enough to slip it onto the wall mount. Some have complained of needing an extra long Philips screwdriver to install the 4 screws on the bottom but I just left them out. Unless you are worried about someone lifting the TV off the wall they are not needed.
I couldn't have asked for a better mount! This thing is well made super slim-line. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat. And at around $10 shipped there is no way I could have found a better mount. I continue to love MonoPrice.
PROS: This is the lowest profile mount I could find. It is solid and holds our 32" flat screen easily. It is solid and was easy to install. It came with all of the screws I needed.
CONS: The kit included drywall anchors but didn't explain how much weight they could hold. I didn't end up using them but I thought I might have to but was unsure if it would be safe. Also, there are four screws that need to be screwed in that you can only put in once the backplate mounted to the tv slides in to the mounting bracket on the wall. This was a tight fit and required a long flexible screw driver. Fortunately I had one.
Worked great for what I required. It is a simple concept that allows you to attach one plate to the wall and the other to the back of your monitor. Then you just slide the monitor plate into the wall plate. Gravity does the rest of the work.
If you plan to get to the back of your monitor on a frequent basis, then this is not the mount for you. It is a set it and forget it mount. Spend a little more for a telescoping mount if you want to have frequent access.
PROS: Price makes it a value
CONS: Can be difficult to slide the two plates together because you have to do it by feel instead of by sight.
This mount was perfect for my 32" Vizio. Made the tv look like a picture frame. People would not notice tv was actually on a mount. Unexpected security feature. Since the 6 securing screws underneath the mount are hard to get to....no one can easily steal your tv from the wall.
PROS: Easy installation Slim yet strong High quality
CONS: Tight fit Need very long screw driver to secure underneath
This was the second item I have ordered from this company. I love the ease of the site and both orders arrived in a timely manner. I had a question on this item and used their online chat, however it was after hours so it was sent to them as an email. It took them a week to reply which didn't make me happy. I actually contacted them that following morning and was taken care of - glad I didn't wait a week! When my item arrived, it was the wrong item but I called them and they were very nice and sent the correct item and told me to just keep the other one. I was pleased with their service!! (other than the week's delay in correspondence) I highly recomend this company great pricing, great service!!
PROS: This mount is just what I needed and the price was great! Ordering online was quick and easy.
