Can this mount handle 24" center studs? If not, can you recommend some mounts that do?
    Jason P on Feb 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. The wall plate of this mount would be 18" wide and would not work with 24" spacing. I would recommend getting in contact with our Product/Tech Support department for assistance in locating a mount. They would be best reached Monday - Friday via online chat (6:00am - 6:00pm PST) or by phone at 877-271-2592 (6:00am - 5:00pm PST).
Does a full motion mount sit as close to the wall as a tilt only mount?
    Chris W on Nov 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it seems to for the most part
Will this hold a vesa 600x400 100lb 75 inch tv? thanks
    Shan Z on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the 6200 mount will be able to hold a 600x400mm 100lb TV no problem! The maximum VESA it can hold is 800x400mm.
What is the dimension of the the length and width dimension of bracket that attaches to the wall?
    Louis H on Jun 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your questions. We have a PDF diagram of the dimensions of this mount. You can find them here: http://downloads.monoprice.com/files/diagrams/6200_Diagram1_110428.pdf. I hope this helps.
Hello is there a way to make it a little loose for the full motions, i feel like its a little to hard to move around?
    A shopper on Dec 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have never needed it loose, but also have not seen a way to lossen it.
Can this mount be used on a curved TV?
    A shopper on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most likely. Even curved TV's have standard mounting hardware, typically posts or sometimes a flat plate on the back of the TV. Measure the bolt holes in the back of the television to figure out your VESA pattern, it's in MM. Find a mount that corresponds with that pattern.
Will this mount fit a tv with 300x300 vesa mount pattern?
    New User U on Jun 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This mount will indeed fit a TV with a 300x300mm VESA pattern. Just be sure that the weight of the TV does not exceed the weight limit of 132 lbs.
    will wall mount #6200 support 400mm x 400mm?
    A shopper on Feb 27, 2018
How much does the mount weigh?
    A shopper on Nov 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. This item weighs approximately 20lbs. Thank you!
How does the tilt work I cant get the tv to be flat once it tilted down?
    A shopper on Aug 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You will need to adjust the one screw in the back with an Allen wrench that adjust the tilt. It is a lot of work with out a power tool. Once it is screwed enough the TV will move up
How far of an angle can you turn a 42" TV with this mount? Is it truly 90 degrees like the description states? Other mounts are typically limited to 45 degrees, so I'm skeptical.
    A shopper on Aug 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a 65 mounted on mine and it angles pretty far, only being prevented by the width of the tv. I would say with a 42, you should easily be able to angle at or close to 90 degrees.
    Is this product UL listed?
    Steven M on Jul 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This model is not. If you need UL listed please see model #12280.

I have a flush mounted electrical outlet above my fireplace. It's 7.25" tall and 5" wide. What are the dimensions for the large middle cutout section of the 460mm x 206mm plate that is mounted to the wall?

does the brackets in back support a curved flat screen?
    frank e on Aug 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As long as the mounting holes meet the current standards this bracket will hold just about anything. The larger TVs will be fine.
Is this mount only made for concrete/brick, or can it be installed through sheetrock/wood studs?
    A shopper on Jul 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should be able to be mounted through drywall and into wood studs. It comes with four (I think) anchor bolts that would be able to go through the drywall and into the stud. You'll just need to make sure of your stud placement before mounting. If it is going over drywall only, I would advise finding some anchors made specifically for drywall that would be able to hold about four times the weight you plan on putting on it.
Can the tv be adjusted side to side given that studs may be off center from desired tv position?
    A shopper on Jun 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is the best full motion mount for the price I have come across. With always adding devices to the TV, this is the only way to go. I use them for our customers TV's for that sole purpose. I use five of them at our house.
is there a way to add a lock to this mount so the tv cannot be removed?
    Charles M on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No... The attachment clips on to the mount and then a bolt is tightened to prevent movement.maybe you can replace the bolt with a security style bolt and once tightened down can't be loosened with special tools
What happened to the mount with the PID 9381? When I do a Google search this comes up as it. Is this the same thing but with a different product ID?
    A shopper on Jan 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, 9381 was a duplicate version of 6200. There is no physical or performance difference between the two units. i hope this answers your question.
Will this mount fit a tv with 300x200 vesa mount pattern?
    MICHAEL E on Sep 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will. It is between 100x100 to 800x300 VESA
    If I buy a TV with a VESA 300 x 300 pattern will that work with this mount? I don't know what "...between 100 x 100 and 800 x 400".
    David A on May 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. So this mount will fit VESA patterns between 100x100 to 800x400. 300x300 will be in-between those measurements, so this mount will work perfect for your TV. Just be sure that the weight of your TV does not exceed the 132lbs that this mount can hold.
What is the vertical spacing of holes on the wall plate? I am replacing a previous mount, and the mounting lag bolts are on a 6.5" vertical spacing. Also a small deviation on the horizontal spacing. Bottom row is 16", but top row is only 14-3/8". The left bolt on the top row is aligned vertically with the bottom bolt. It is very strange, but that's what the previous owners of the home had set up. We are trying to mount an LG 55UH615A-UC TV on the wall, and we are hoping this mount will do the job.

Good budget mount, but with several negatives
The Pros and Cons cover my review for this product. For ~$40 shipped, it is a decent buy, but not worth much more than that. There are other mounts at slightly higher price points that provide much easier installation and leveling than this product.

Installation is definitely a 2-person job with this mount. The extra weight and heft is comforting but it is also questionable whether the mount needs to be this heavy as it makes installation a lot more difficult.

    PROS: - Cheap

    - Heavy duty, robust and sturdy

    - Tilt adjustment works well

    - Dual support arms are sturdy and do not flex

    - Spirit level included in back plate - but of minimal use (see cons)

CONS: - Instruction manual is absolutely unusable and atrocious. There is absolutely no text in terms of sentences or steps/bullet points. Just a bunch of cryptic illustrations. No mention at all about the fact that the front plate (on which the TV hangs) needs to have the bolts/nuts tightened as it ships very loose.

    - Front plate needs to be leveled independently of the backplate, making the backplate leveling a pointless exercise as it has no impact on the final leveling of the TV once it is hung on the front plate. It helps with final leveling adjustment, but the lack of any documentation makes it hard to plan for

    - Back plate that mounts on wall is not wide enough. It is barely wide enough to hit 16" spaced studs center to center. But this provides no flexibility in centering the mount if the location where you want to mount the TV is not perfectly centered between 2 studs.

    - Given the weight of the mount, it would be nice if the backplate could be detatched from the dual arms for installation and bolting onto the wall/studs. That would make aligning/leveling the wall mount backplate a lot easier. I was able to disassemble the arm to achieve this, but the mount is clearly not designed for this and it was tedious to reassemble the dual arms once the backplate was bolted onto the wall.

    Picture is inaccurate
The picture of the mount is not the same as the actual one received. The actual mount received has less of an opening on the wall plate. The wall plate is just about 18" wide, but the opening is only 11.5" with roughly 3 - 3.25" or so fully covered on each side. The picture shows the wall plate has an opening nearly the entire width and only a small edge. Also, the front plate does not have the smaller slot holes at the top and bottom. It only has the larger 2 openings on each side of the center. Please update the picture of the actual mount. As a result of this error, the mount will not work for me due to space constraints and I needed to place a return. The item looks more like the sketch with measurements, not the actual picture of the mount.

    PROS: Price, quality

CONS: Stiff and picture of item is inaccurate

Great price....but a bit of a frustrating install
One of my job duties is to install these mounts and this is the first time I ever had a mount cause everything to get out of "level". The half that went on the wall was level, the half connected to the television was level, but possibly with the weight of the television, it would shift and cause the whole thing to not to be level anymore. Very frustrating - had to take down the TV, check the mount parts, re-tighten everything and then put the TV back up. Had to do all that 4 times and still was not perfectly level in the end.

It was level pushed up against the wall but then would become out of level when the mount was extended - Arrrgh - Hopefully it was just a lemon, I buy enough of these that I would want to purchase this again from Monoprice to save on my expenses.

PROS: Best price I found for mounting a television over 65 inches.

CONS: Heavy - but it's for a larger television so not too surprising

Something about it is not stable - kept getting out of level

Did not tilt as much as you would expect a FULL MOTION mount to tilt

    Yeah, it's all that.
Yeah, it really is a nice wall mount.

My first time installing a wall mount. Mounted my 40" Sony Google TV with ease.

Tips: Read AND understand the diagrams first, get a good studfinder (I used a Zircon e50), take your time, double check your marks, use your own bubble level (not the one on the unit), you'll need a socket wrench to tighen the lag bolts down.

This thing is solid. TV is safe and sound.

    PROS: Solid, quality build.
    Easy to install.
Incredbily great price. Monoprice puts the big box stores to shame.
Ordered on the 26th, arrived on the 28th (California to California address)
Plenty of hardware etc. for any TV/situation.

    CONS: none

Shipping cost are way to high.

    PROS: Great product

CONS: Shipping cost are way to high.
    March 22, 2014
    Don't do it.
If you want a full-motion mount that keeps your TV level when extended, buy a different one. The dual arms that support the TV are not strong enough, and my 55", 75 lb TV (well within stated limits) sagged noticeably at corners when swiveled left or right. No adjustments available on mount to compensate. It was installed (by a pro) dead level into 2 studs, so it's not operator error.

    PROS: Cheap price.

    CONS: Cheap construction.

    Great product
Will buy another with no questions asked

PROS: Great product looks nice and love the way I can adjust my TV.

CONS: Only issue I had was the Plastic Anchors. The would not Open when I was screwing in the bolts. I had to get some good wall mout anchor from Home Depot.

    Great Value
After shopping around and comparing prices, I was worried that for the unbeatable price, the quality would be sacrificed. It was there the next day, great quality, completely solid design, and my husband and I were able to mount our 55" plasma ourselves. Thanks!

PROS: Super fast shipping, incredible value, great quality, easy to install.
    September 12, 2012
    Great Price
great for the price, would be perfect if it had better articulation.

PROS: Very good price, easy to install. can tilt and rotate.

CONS: takes a good deal of effort to rotate, not very smooth

    Not for a first-time user
I have ordered other wall mounts from Monoprice and I was extremely happy with the detailed instructions and well-organized parts "bags".

That was NOT true with item 6200. The instructions were nothing more than poorly drawn pictures, no text, and all the parts were in a single bag.

When I contacted Monoprice technical support, they offered absolutely no assistance other than to be willing to email me a copy of the poorly drawn instructions.

If I had not installed a wall mount previously, I would have been lost.

In fairness, the wall mount is solid and works well. So, if you have installed full-function wall mounts, go for it. Otherwise, choose a different product (I don't know how to tell which come with complete instructions), or go with a brand name and pay the price for their expertise and experience.
