Don't leave your flat panel TV on a table or stand where it can be knocked over and damaged, or even worse injure a child or pet. Instead, mount it securely and safely to the wall using this Adjustable Tilting/Swiveling Wall Mount Bracket from Monoprice!
This mount bracket supports adjustments in three dimensions; it can be swiveled ±90° and can be tilted up to 5° upward and 15° downward. Additionally, it can be extended from a minimum distance to the wall of 5.5" to a maximum of 19.6".
This bracket is designed to mount an LCD, LED, or Plasma display with a VESA mounting pattern between 400x200 and 700x500, which includes most 37" to 70" displays*. It can be mounted to any type wall (brick, concrete, wood stud, etc.) and can safely hold up to 110 lbs (including the weight of the mount itself). Mounting hardware is included.
* Note that the display screen size is only an approximation. Your display is compatible with this mount as long as it has a VESA mounting pattern and weight that fit within the size and weight limits listed above.

PROS: This mount is heavy. It weighs 22 pounds. No doubt in my mind this will hold my TV, it is built very solid.
Comes with 7 long bolts to hold it to the wall and it comes with drywall mounts. I just used 4 bolts into 2 studs. guarantee it won't fall off
PROS: Easy to install. It is also nice to easily take the TV off the mount to plug in additional cables after it has been installed.
CONS: Wall mount could be a little longer for holder houses with studs that may not be16" on center.

5/16" 15/64" 1/4"
3/8" 9/32" 5/16"
1/2" 3/8" 7/16"
Be aware that this does not fold down to anything close to flush to the wall. This is a great mount if you require something flexible and moveable. It is very easy to adjust the TV orientation and angle on the fly, but if you expect the position to be static and want it as close to the wall as possible, this is not the mount for you.
PROS: Sturdy, well built, versatile. Folds very flat considering how far it can hold the t.v. from the wall. The price is excellent compared similar mounts sold elsewhere.
CONS: Joint articulation is a little stiff, but not problematic. Angle adjustment is not as accessible as some people may prefer.
Con, the 110 lbs rating is more like a breaking point. if your tv is heavier than 70 lbs. you will not be able to move it and the arm will sag badly to the point of twisting, it will make you scared to move it. The second mount I purchased is holding a Sony 52 LCD at 71 lbs. (seems heavier) but it is so big i should have purchased just a standard tilt mount that can hold up to 175lbs.
I decided to go ahead and try it. I mounted it on a brick wall above the fireplace. There were Plastic anchors and Lag bolts included in the package (plus a lot more extra parts) After mounting, I extended the arms completely out and I hung from it. I weigh 175lbs. with no problem. When I tried to adjust the tilt, I discovered that the holes did not match up. I ended up drilling them out and re-tapping. using a larger bolt than what was intended. I don't know if it was just the unit I received that was like this or if they are all defective. Anyway, not a big deal for me. just took a little longer. That is the reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10.
I am really pleased with the end result and the 55" looks sooo cool hanging from the wall
PROS: Heavy Duty Quality Construction
Plenty of Parts to complete the installation
CONS: Instruction information is skimpy
Tilt bracket holes did not line up
Installation direction is lacking in some details, but the installation is fairly simple (even a caveman can do it). If you really don't want to deal with measuring, there was a piece of cardboard that was in the box that was slightly larger (1/2" - 1") than the base of the mount. We took that and trimmed the excess off of it to match the base of the mount and poked holes where the screws would go and used that as a template.
A previous reviewer mentioned that this is a "universal" mount so you will have spare screws, bolts, washers, etc. He was right about that one.
Installation process: 4 out of my 6 stud screws lined up over the studs. I had to buy a couple of drywall anchors for the 2 that did not line up with a stud. Fortunately, it was the two center ones.
Since this is a universal mount, the brackets that are mounted to the TV itself has multiple slots in it for the screws to go in. Reason for this is so that when the TV is mounted on to the mount itself, the mount won't cover any of the necessary cable connections on the back of the TV.
If you are a handyman and you have all the necessary tools and supplies on hand. The installation should take you less than an hour.
I would recommend this wall mount to anyone WITHOUT hesitation. Very simple to mount and VERY STURDY. Kit comes with large lag bolts that you can drive right into the studs. My mount is hanging with 6 bolts mounted into 3 studs. Before hanging the TV I pulled on the end of the arm and it did not budge. My TV weighs less than 40 lbs and is rock solid on the mount.
I have friends that purchased wall mounts at big box stores and it ruins their day when they check out my set up and I tell them how much I paid.
I would have given the mount a 10 if it had some sort of cord management system built into it.
PROS: Adaptability, ease of installation, ability to position TV at multiple angles and degree of tilt
