Questions and Answers
PROS: Solid and works well for my 32" flat panel with a 200 X 200 mm VESA configuration.. Great price!
CONS: Instructions a little difficult to read and follow. To make install a lot easier, need to provide one more measurement and guidance. Instructions should provide the vertical distance from either of the two screws (on the back of the part that attaches to the TV) to the upper hole of the part that attaches to the wall. Then after the back part is attached to the TV, the installer should measure from that same screw down to the vertical bottom of the TV. After placing a mark on the wall at where you want the bottom of the TV to be, then measure up the sum of the distances from above and place a mark. This mark is where the top hole of the wall mount portion should be. Place the top most hole of the template at that mark.
The problems I have with it are from what appears to be inaccurate construction. Even with everything adjusted perfectly level and tightened to what I consider a reasonable amount, it would still tilt and rotate with the slightest touch. I broke the tilt adjustment screw while trying to tighten it even more to stop all the movement. The extending arm is pretty stiff and requires a good amount of force on the TV to pivot around. Several of the metal pieces on the arm and mount were very slightly bent, which I suspect is the reason my TV is level when swung to one side, but extremely crooked when swung to the other side. Even with a 35 lb. Vizio 55" LED TV, the arm droops slightly where it scrapes against itself when moved to be flush against the wall. When fully extended, there is about a 2.5" droop, and about 1 inch when flush against to the wall. Good thing I left a little extra room above the shelves underneath...
PROS: - Strong
- Lots of screws and washers included
- Good documentation
- Plastic covers to hide hinges and give a better apperance
- Limited cable management (when it works)
CONS: - Metal bent and out of level
- Won't tighten enough to stop movement
- Droops when fully extended
- Scrapes against itself when pushed flush to the wall
- Cable management clip in the middle doesn't hold cables in
PROS: This mount exceeded my expectations on almost every point. It is very well constructed and much more than I was expecting for the cost. It was very easy to install and came with all of the hardware needed to mount it to brick, masonry, sheet rock etc..
FYI if you plan on mounting this on a brick, concrete or other masonry wall, you will need a 3/8" masonry bit.
CONS: It did not come with the proper size screws for mounting to my Vizio 37" TV. If your TV requires M4 screws then you will have purchase them separately. Both Home Depot and Lowes, Carry them
PROS: Good quality for the price, easy to install
CONS: No M4 screws for a 100mmx100mm mount and the set did not come with a wall template despite being reflected on the component checklist.
PROS: East to Install. Decent instructions.
All hardware provided
Excellent price. Comparable mounts at retail stores are 3 times the cost.
CONS: Plastic cable clips and cover pieces took a few tries to figure out.. No instructions for these, although they were pictured and ultimately went on OK.
Supplied lag screws were not not particularly high grade steel. The screw heads (Phillips type) will strip out unless the pilot holes are drilled full length (about 2.5") and you install them carefully. If I had a metric hex head driver, this probably would not have been a problem.
PROS: Well built. Strong and substantial. Simple one stud install. The only assembly required was to attach 4 "arms" to the TV mounting plate. Instructions were clear and precise. Don't know how they can still offer overnight shipping for $5-$6. I used this for a 47lb 55" flatscreen. Could easily be used on a 65".
The center of the mounted TV will be 2-3/16" offset from center of the wall mounting plate.
CONS: None really. A couple of notes. The wall bracket template is cardboard slipped in the edge of the box. It looks just like the packing materials DON'T throw it away. Also the TV mounting plate attaches to the swing arm on two 3/16' threaded studs tightened by thumb wheel nuts. This to me is the weakest point of the install. Be sure to tighten securely.
After this the install went great, I mounted a 46" TV, which weighs less than the max weight, and so far no problems. The only slight downside was the plastic covers, they were a bit flimsy and hard to get on, but after some struggling I was able to get them on to stay. The mount is very fluid and very sturdy, and you cannot beat the price. So far I am very happy.
PROS: Very Sturdy, Relatively easy to install
CONS: Documentation, flimsy covers
PROS: Very Strong
Nice finish (powder black coating)
Strong steel arms and bolts
Spacers, screws, of various sizes incuded to support many VESA and TV sizes.
CONS: Ummmmmmm....cant think of any at all......
PROS: Great instructions, drill template that made installation very easy
CONS: None, I'm very happy with it.
PROS: Very strong, very flexible. Mounts many different sized TV's and holds them securely.
