Full-Motion TV Wall Mount (Max 99 lbs, 37 - 70 inch)
Don't leave your flat panel TV on a table or stand where it can be knocked over and damaged, or even worse injure a child or pet. Instead, mount it securely and safely to the wall using this Adjustable Tilting/Swiveling Wall Mount Bracket from Monoprice!
This mount bracket supports adjustments in three dimensions; it can be swiveled ±60°, can be tilted ±15°, and can be rotated ±3°, for final leveling adjustments. It has undergone extensive safety testing and has been certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which ensures that it will perform safely and reliably.
This bracket is designed to mount an LCD, LED, or Plasma display with a VESA mounting pattern between 200x200 and 600x400, which includes most 37" to 70" TVs*. It can be mounted to any type wall (brick, concrete, wood stud, etc.) and can safely hold up to 99 lbs (including the weight of the mount itself). Mounting hardware and cable management clips are included.
* Note that the display screen size is only an approximation. Your TV is compatible with this mount as long as your display has a VESA mounting pattern and weight that fit within the size and weight limits listed above.

- User's Manual (May 20, 2013)
The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 10 rating is because of the rotation capability. The listing says a full 60 degrees left and right. I assume smaller LED sets will allow this, but with a 50" set, the side of the TV contacts the wall at about 45 degrees. No further rotation is possible. That's acceptable for my needs but the literature should be revised to warn that larger sets may have less rotation capability.
As others have indicated, the bracket that mounts to the TV's VESA holes can obstruct access to the antenna, power and component jacks. I don't consider this any fault of the mount all TVs are different. The point is that this kit contains standoff spacers to allow the TV bracket to be spaced a bit away from the set to allow better access to those jacks and connections when they're obstructed by the bracket parts. Good design anticipation on the manufacturer's part.
All in all, I'm happy with this mount and would buy it again.
PROS: Well designed and built, reasonable cost, easy install.
CONS: Somewhat limited rotation
Needed to upgrade to Toggle Bolts instead of using the included Dry Wall Mollies. Not a huge problem, and may not be necessary to some, but I am very paranoid about this TV falling off the wall because I have pets and babies/children in the house. I used 1/4 X 3in Toggle bolts and the TV is VERY sturdy and tight to the wall even when fully extended and/or swiveled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
PROS: Great bang for the buck, Solid mount, Very sturdy, Easy to install, Looks great, Swivel is tight.
CONS: Needed to upgrade to Toggle Bolts instead of using the included Mollies.
PROS: Fully articulating is a definite plus, and that you can mount it on one stud is also a great feature. Buikld quality for the mount is also good.
CONS: TV swivels up and down on the left and right sides every time you pull the articulating arms out to change the position of the TV.
That leads me to another weakness. The entire TV is held on with just 2 little screw studs and nuts. The top thumbscrew is nonadjustable, while the bottom is slotted, allowing the 3 degrees of rotation, and leveling. I'm sure this is completely safe from an engineering perspective, but based on the rest of the mount's seeming overly strong design, this seems like a bit of a weak-point. What is definitely a weak-point, though, is that the bottom thumbscrew is difficult to properly tighten with just your thumb and finger as it is designed to be. The weight of my 71 pound TV, even when properly center on the adapter plate and the mount, wanted to still move within that bottom slot when only hand tightened. It could be tightened enough by hand, but just a little pressure on one end of the TV, and it would rotate. I decided to tighten these thumbscrews up a bit more with a pair of pliers, though I was careful not to do much more that I could with my hand for fear of causing another issue.
Overall, it appears to be a very well built, strong mount. I am happy with the purchase.
PROS: Good price, sturdy, pretty easy to install
CONS: Cable routing feature poorly integrated, only uses single stud, cheap plastic covers, thumbscrews instead of tool tightened for final mounting and leveling
Heavy cast arms pivot off a heavy back plate using heavy bolts with friction nuts. I weigh 200 lbs and could chin-up off this mount without fazing it, as long as it is securely mounted in the wall.
The hardware package is so complete I now have a ton of great metric hardware leftover for future projects. The only thing I added was two 6" long 1/4 inch lag bolts as insurance. Along with the six smaller (good quality) lags they included with the package, this mount is absolutely secure holding up my super-heavy TV.
China takes a lot of well deserved hits for shoddy products these days. I have purchased four MonoPrice mounts for my re-model and every one of them was absolutely exemplary in both construction quality and fit and finish. One was a little stiff at first but, I spent a couple minutes man-handling the joints before mounting the TV and the TV glides very nicely now. You could probably add a little silicone spray to the joints if yours was stiff before mounting.
TV handling etiquette tip: When using a sweet double-mount like this model, it is better for your TV if you reach behind the panel and move the mount. Wrenching on huge screens to swivel the TVs places extra stress on the circuit board which comprises the interior frame of the TV. A double mount can "lock-up" if swiveled into corners. Trying to center the TV can place big loads on the TV "innards" where pulling on the mount moves it easily - and makes your TV last longer.
Buy with confidence. These products are first-rate.
PROS: Massively over-built
Kaboodles of hardware!
Dual load-path with two arms
CONS: (Minor) The center of the TV mount is different than the center of the wall mount. Takes a little measuring to figure out where the mount goes to get your TV centered in the space you desire. Would be awesome if they included those two points in the nice cardboard template they provide.
Overall, I was pretty nervous about putting a very expensive TV on such an affordable mount, but after my experience, I would recommend this mount to anyone. It was super easy to put up even if you have never done it before. The directions are great and the mount allows the TV to be moved in any way that the user would want. The mount is very sturdy and well built. Stop looking. Just buy it and be happy.
PROS: easy to follow and labeled directions and parts.
CONS: Top plastic hide cover a little loose, but easily fixed.
It's nicely packaged with all the fasteners I needed and clear instructions for mounting. It recommends a stud finder and I concur although the stud finder I used told me a stud was where one wasn't, so get yourselves a good one.
The lower pin has a screw-on, hand-tightened knob that is not sufficient to keep the TV level. There is no lock washer so when you pull the TV out or turn it you must be careful not to apply unequal pressure up or down on one side, otherwise you'll have to re-level. They recommend against over-tightening so I'm going to try a multi-tooth lock washer to see if that helps.
When mounting the unit I could not use the cardboard template to rest the level on because it was not cut with straight and square lines. I had to mark the top hole and then draw a plumb line and then put the template back on and mark the lower holes. No big deal. You'll figure it out.
The plastic dress covers barely clip on with any friction but so far no problem. I guess unless you have an earthquake, they're not likely to come off. Perhaps if you pushed the TV all the way back and the cables bumped the covers, I expect they could be dislodged.
The plastic cable clips on the inner arms have very tiny, weak catches. The room in the clips is only suitable for a couple of cables depending on their thickness, of course. I tried to route 4 reasonably thin HDMI cables and an optical return audio cable through them and they easily popped off when the TV was moved. I ended up using zip ties.
Overall, I'm happy with the product and would buy another. The deficiencies are quibbles.
PROS: • Solidly built.
• Lots of fasteners.
• Clear instructions.
CONS: • Lower pin slides too easily affecting level.
• Cardboard template cut lopsided so it cannot be used for level or plumb.
• Plastic dress covers don't fasten solidly.
• Plastic cable clips only hold a couple of cables and come off easily.
PROS: Product is fantastic! It's sturdy, durable and strong. It is everything the website claims it would be.
CONS: When we received the product, a decorative plastic piece was badly cracked.
PROS: Well made, sturdy. Works as described.
