Why can you not use this mount with a 60" TV? As long as it is under the weight of 66lb. limit and has the correct VESA size.

BEST ANSWER: I asked customer support and they said the size is really a loose guide/guess, what is crucial is the VESA size and the WEIGHT. So in short, you CAN mount a 60" tv if those other parameters fit.
What is the weight of the mount itself? This information is necessary in determining if the total weight with the TV exceeds 66lbs

    Easy install and sturdy
Out of the 3 mounts I bought from Monoprice, this one included a hole mount template - which made the pre-drilling MUCH easier. A bit pricey (by Monoprice mount standards), but much more versatile for tilt/extension, etc than others I purchased.

PROS: Included template makes installing a 1 person job, as you don't need to hold the mount up/level/mark holes at the same time.

    Good and simple adjustment range

    CONS: None

    Nice TV Mount
Nice looking, easy to install, holds TV well. I have a really light Sony 48" TV so the mount is not working hard at all. Since this installs on a stud (or concrete wall) it installs 16" on center. So, my sticks out from the wall about 6" farther than I want it to because the studs are not centered to where I want the TV. THIS IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE PRODUCT. That is why it gets 5 stars. I still need to see if I can slide the TV over on the mount enough to center the TV without the TV being lopsided and no longer level. Then I will be able to push the TV back closer to the wall. Other mounts that span 2 studs wouldn't give a lot of adjustability, either, so I decided on this one and to deal with it. The mount was larger that expected. (neither good nor bad and supports the TV well).

What would be really nice for ANY mount would be a way to also attach a cable box and DVD player since both are getting so much smaller and lighter. I will probably make a really small and light bracket that will hold the DVD player under the TV.

PROS: Sturdy, easy to install, fits my Sony 48", looks nice (wife also likes it :) )

CONS: NONE - other than my wish list mentioned above.

I used this mount with a TV weighing 35 lb. and having a 300x300mm VESA pattern and it's working well. I'm glad we went for a mount with a full range of motion. The mount is easy to adjust and we haven't noticed any sagging, though we haven't had to fully extend the arm.

With this mount, we centered our TV on a wall with a stud a few inches off-center.

When fully collapsed, the articulating arm on this mount is 1-2" to the left or right of the stud that the mount is screwed into. In our case, this was useful as it helped us center the TV on the wall.

To finish centering the TV, we adjusted the mounting bracket that screwed to the back of the TV. This gave us another 2" of adjustment. (If your TV uses a 400 mm wide VESA pattern, you won't have much room to adjust the mounting bracket on the TV)

    Can't beat the price
Is this the perfect mount? No. Is it a really, really good mount for the price? YES! My only complaints are:

1 - The included mounting bolts for attaching the TV to the brackets were too short for my model. The back of my TV is flat where the brackets go but there is a raised up area at the base. The configuration of holes and brackets meant I needed to raise the bracket with the spacers. The bolts were not long enough to reach the threads on the TV and I had to run to the store to buy longer ones. (FYI, TV's use metric threads in case you are wondering)

2 - The folding action of the bracket allows you to rotate in either direction (as it should). You just need to be mindful when pushing the TV up to the wall as it will not fold correctly in the other direction. You will end up with 3 or 4 inches of gap instead of being nearly flush. You may need to push or pull the middle joint in the right direction before hand.

3 - The cable management pieces are not very substantial. They pinch onto the arms and are held in place by tension (and some indents in the arm). But since the plastic pieces are kind of thin, there is not much tension and they can pull off the arm easily. But this is not an issue if you are not constantly pulling on the cables. They work fine, but it would be nicer if these were a little stronger.

I know I just gave some fairly detailed negatives about this mount, but they are all very minor! Once installed, it holds the TV very securely and it has a great range of motion. I like that it mounts to a single stud which keeps the wall nice and clean. Also, my TV is a 40" LED and I can rotate it almost 90 degrees from the mounting wall. A larger TV won't get as much angle, but the limit is not the bracket range of motion.

Overall, this is a fantastic mount for a great price.

This mount is extremely stable. It's can be a bit cumbersome to extend and position accurately, but I'm happy to spend an extra few seconds adjusting when the TV stays exactly where I want it when I'm done. With a 39" TV weighing 35 pounds, there's no dip and minimal wobble at full extension. The cable management pieces are secure enough to hold all my cables, yet not too secure that it allows them to come free before ripping out the inputs on my TV when extending past the cable length (oops!). The provided template made installation a breeze having to hold up this hefty mount centered and level while marking drill points would've been a challenge.

If I were forced to find a fault, the only thing I could come up with is the mounting plate for the TV seems to only work in one direction, and I couldn't find any indication that I had installed it wrong until I couldn't get the bolts to line up while hanging the TV. This could have easily been an oversight on my part, but it went up smooth as butter after rotating the plate.

The TV also is not perfectly centered when at minimum extension, there's a couple inches offset left or right of center depending on which direction the arms are. This seems to be common with all of the extending center mounts I've seen, so I can't blame this mount for following what I assume is the industry standard, but I would gladly give up 2-3 inches of extension to gain a centered TV when flat against the wall.

All in all, I'm completely satisfied with this mount and will likely to purchase it again in the future if I have another TV to install within the required specs.

    Wall Mount
I give the wall mount a review of 4 out of 5.

PROS: Very easily to install, appearance is great, and instructions were easy to follow. All parts were included with the order.

CONS: Securing rod on top was not long enough for securing nut, had to modify for securing purposes. Cable trout should have been better designed to hide cables but forming the cables neatly as I did made the cables look professionally dressed.

Fine, sturdy wall mount with myriad tilt options.
I bought this wall mount about a year ago for my 55-inch Samsung 4K flat screen and anchored it in a cement wall in my basement man cave. It is very secure, looks nice if you get a view of it from the side and has myriad tilt options. I like that you can set it the exact right distance from the wall to work best with the center channel speaker for life-like sound on movies and TV shows. It costs a tad more than some of the simpler mounts, but it's well worth the price.

    Very Nice Little Mount
I purchased this mount for my in-laws to mount their new 43in LED TV. The TV had two sets of legs on it rather than a single center stand which made it too big for their existing tv stand so we had to wall mount it. I searched the seemingly endless list of mounts on the Monoprice page until deciding on this one. LED tvs are so light today that weight isn't a factor for most and this mount was plenty strong enough to hold the 20lb tv. I liked the fact that the mount has a nice finished look to it and ease of adjustability for everyday use. The bolts seemed to be of fine quality compared to some other reviews I'd read which recommended changing them on other mounts. It only took 2 lag bolts secured into the 2x4 stud and this thing was rock solid. The tv can be pushed back close to the wall or pulled out nearly a foot (maybe more?) and rotated for easy viewing in other parts of the room. The only minor drawback is that it doesn't have much vertical adjustability, just the mounting of the bracket on the back of the tv so make sure you know how high you want the tv before mounting. This is pretty much common sense though. The in-laws are delighted with it and it only took 20 minutes to set up total. Very nice product. Should last for a long time.

PROS: Easy to install, plenty of adjustability

    CONS: None

So love this mount,I put it up in 30 minutes. The Best Buy online ever. So pleased. And it looks finished and not like that stuff where you see all the bolts. This is completely enclosed. Love it!!!

PROS: This was the best purchase I have ever made online. One person to install. Had it up in about 30 minutes. Strong, easy motion and is exactly what we were looking for. It even matches my kitchen hardware.. I have a 55 inch and it holds it so sturdy.

    CONS: None

    wall mount
This mount came just as described. Easy two person installation . Including measuring and mounting 60 minutes. Used for 50" tv and I felt confident it would definitely hold 55" tv mounted to stud. Nice to have something work the first time, viewing angles are great.
