Overall it worked perfectly. Instructions were a little unclear, but I have mounted these brackets before and it wasn't difficult. One lag bolt did snap, however. Changing these to ones that are a little more sturdy would help. I was able to finish the project with a bolt that I already had.
It's a great mount for the price but the tilt screws didn't work so there is a small amount of vertical down tilt to the TV( 42 " FYI ). Luckly I mounted it high enough so it won't be of concern, but I can understand where people could be upset thus why i'm giving it 4 outta 5
The arms are kind of small and thin for the weight rating but the biggest problem is the tilt up and down, I wasn’t using a heavy tv at all but I could not tighten it enough to keep the tv straight up and down. I ended up driving some screws through the mount eliminating the tilt feature
I love the fact that this mount extends very far from the wall and only needs one stud to do so. but I was disappointed when I could not keep the tv flat especially with all the adjustments provided. The tv constantly tips forward. I had to put a self tapper screw in to kept in place. Very disappointed.
It was delivered on time, packaged well. The directions were pictures only, would be better with written instructions. We were able to install it fairly easily. We could not get the tilt mechanism allowing the TV to go up and down to work. We followed the directions to tighten the connection with the Allen wrench, but it made no difference. We finally duct taped wood shims in place to keep the TV from rotating down.
