What is the maximum height from the top of the desk to the center of the VESA mounting plate?

Am I able to anchor this through a standard 2.5" grommet hole?
    A shopper on Feb 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, unfortunately this product does not anchor through a grommet hole. It instead has a "grommet mounting option" that provides a flat base that can be screwed to a desktop. For a product that can be attached to a standard grommet hole, you could consider the 15525 Dual Monitor Adjustable Gas Spring Desk Mount.
Can this arm be attached to a glass desk?
    A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In theory yes it can be attached. The clamp will function on the surface. Even tempered glass has it's limits I would especially reserve for poorly constructed furniture. Even if the tempered glass is of high quality I would put some form of a clear plate, ie tap plastics, to complete the clamp sandwich. Adding it would disperse the pressure of the clamp to a larger surface.
I sit in a shallow desk cubical. I want to get my monitor closer to the wall of the cubical. The stock monitor stand holds the monitor 3.25-3.5 inches from the wall. How far back can I push the monitor if I offset the monitor from the post? Is it less than 3.5"?
    A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, you won't be able to push the monitors back to have less than 3.5" from the wall because the mounting arms would hit the wall and would cause the monitors to be around 5 inches away from the wall. If your desk were not flush against your cubicle wall, it would be possible to push the arms backwards.
Can the arms be articulated to stack the monitors vertically (the sample pics show only a 1 x 2 horizontal layout, my preference is 2 x 1)?
    Randy V on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, not with this model. Both arms have to be the same height. I think Monoprice sells another model that does that, though.

Cleared up lots of desk space!
24" max?? I have this dual monitor stand setup with (2) 28" HannsG HH281 monitors mounted with no problems! Just be sure you stay under the max weight-per-monitor specification (18lbs per arm). My posture is better now that the monitors are now mounted at an appropriate eye level, I have SO MUCH MORE space on my desk now, and the monitors are much easier to swivel to display for guests in my office. This is the best $60 I've spent in a long time. Thanks to Qoverage small-business IT support in Dallas, TX for recommending these!

Be patient mounting them, as it will take some time and patience to get everything setup without scratching/dropping your monitors. Overall the arms can feel a little flimsy, but I'm mounting monitors that are right at the maximum specified weight for these arms and well beyond the recommended size, and I'm definitely not complaining! Overall this kit is a great solution and a great value at three times the price.

PROS: NO PROBLEMS with (2) 28" LCD, provides height adjust-ability for non-height-adjustable monitors, frees up lots of desk space, great positioning flexibility, amazing value. Far exceeded my expectations - what a nice surprise.

CONS: Takes some time and patience to setup, and I would definitely recommend mounting this on a sturdy (not glass) desktop. Still a great deal!

    Watch the weight
Although the info says that it supports 18 lbs/arm I would be reluctant to push it to that limit. I have 2 12 lb monitors hooked up to it and they are visibly sagging the arms. I've tried tightening the joints and certainly not extending them out fully but nothing seems to work. Considering how much I paid for the monitors I'm considering putting a brace under the middle joint to prevent too much torque on the arms.

    PROS: Very sturdy metal arms.
    Cable management.
    Thoughtful design.

    CONS: Weight capacity.

    Works exactly as described
Easily supports a pair of 22" monitors, clearing a ton of space on the desktop. Had a bit of an issue with assembly, but I was able to contact tech support to help figure out what I had done incorrectly.

PROS: Low cost, easy no-drill installation, tech support

    Solid and simple
    worth the buy

    PROS: really easy setup

    very sturdy

CONS: cheap plastic cable clips but I am nitpicking

Very pleased. I liked the first one I purchased some months back and because I needed another didn't even think twice. Thank you.

PROS: Exactly what I asked for. Came quickly and everything was included that was supposed to be. Very pleased.

The stand has the option to screw or clamp to your furniture - I used the clamp option which deformed slightly (a suitable amount of pressure on the screw to hold both monitors caused the lower portion of the C to bend as I secured it - this bend returns to normal when I back out the screw).

The mount is basically 5 pieces:
    - the base that clamps or screws to your furniture
    - a stalk/pole that mounts to the base
    - a set of two pivoting arms that ride on the stalk
    - 2 monitor mounts that screw to the back of the monitor and then slip into holders on the arms (and are pinned in place with a cap screw)

The stand itself has two arms which can move in the horizontal plane, the arms connect to each other at a ring that goes around the support stalk - the ring has its own lever actuated clamp to keep the ring at a given height. Height changes are made by releasing the ring clamp, moving the arm unit up or down on the stalk and retightening which can be a little tricky with the monitors mounted. My monitors are off horizontally by about 1/4" to 1/2" and there is no way to fix this - its not really a problem, but it catches my eye every now and again. Also, the centerlines of both monitors are always at the same height which might limit some configurations.

Overall the arms allow my two 22" monitors good movement and I can swivel them at will (there are no denents or stops in the swivel so the cables are the only things stopping the amount you can swivel - both a plus and a minus I suppose). To get the monitors centered, I do need a few inches behind the base which means my desk had to come away from the wall and there is some lost room back there.

Overall the mount is sturdy and easy to setup.

These are much cheaper than other brands, and you can tell why. They work for there purpose, but are more difficult to use. Once you get them setup, they work for their purpose, but getting to that point can prove difficult. They are worth the $, but are not quite the quality of much more expensive ones.

PROS: Moves lots of different directions
Attaches to the desk different ways
    Extends pretty far

CONS: Weight of 22" LED monitors makes the arms sag
Difficult to get the 2 monitors balanced to where they're the exact same height/angle

    Substantial can withstand extra weight
I am exceeding the weight capacity with 2x 24" Dell monitors and it's holding up pretty well. Haven't ran into any problems for several weeks now. Nice to be able to move and adjust my monitors with a few degrees of freedom. I have it attached to a glass-top desk. The cable management clips are too small, they don't hold all the cables without getting overloaded.

    PROS: * Easy assembly
    * Can support 2x 24" monitors
    * Good mounting
    * Tilt and freedom of movement is great

CONS: * Cable management is not great

    Dual Monitor Desk
The product showed up on time and in tact. The brackets where of a quality that was above what was expected and installed as simply as specified. The entire process from ordering, to delivery, to installation was painless. Look forward to my next purchase.

PROS: The product was better than expected (quality), Shipped on time, No hassles ordering.

    Great product!
Bought this for my younger brother for versatility and to save desk space. Works wonderfully! I will be purchasing one for myself in the near future.

PROS: Strong construction, easy assembly. Good quality hardware and well thought out design. Can be mounted directly to a table via screws and the included base as well.

CONS: Cannot move vertically very efficiently.
