What are the dimensions of the base of the stand (flush with top of desk) and the clamp (flush with the bottom)?
    MICHAEL D on Nov 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The clamp plate on the underside of desk is about 2" x 3-1/4". The base of the stand on top of the desk is about 5-3/4" x 4" (although it's not a rectangle, but a more like an Isosceles Trapezoid with rounded corners, with the narrower edge at the edge of the desk).
Can this hold a 21.5 inch iMac? Apple says they weigh 20.5 lbs.
    A shopper on Oct 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It’s holding my 27” iMac Pro just fine.
Is there enough motion to allow for the monitors to be stacked vertically vs the normal horizontal orientation?
    Matt J on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought two of these to set up a four 27" monitor pyramid but there is not enough travel to stack them that vertical. It may work for a smaller monitor.
Can one monitor be at about 45 degrees to the other?
    Alan F on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these each arm is allows for maximum flexibility in arranging your displays.
I understand this says that the mount is recommended for a monitor of up to 34".
I have two 34" ultrawide monitors and am wondering if this still applies to me? Will this work or will my monitors constantly be in a wedge formation?
    Andy L on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have an 34" ultrawide paired with a 16:9. I think two ultrawides might be able to work, but I don't think you'd be able to pivot them. They'd likely both have to be pointed straight ahead.
I have two HP 27" monitors that are LCD, approximately 21 pounds each. Will this work?
    Steven N on Feb 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have 2 - 28" 4k Monoprice screens and it works great. Just need to adjust the tension on the arms to adjust for the weight
Is the maximum height of 19" achievable holding two 24" monitors?
    Robert L on Apr 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this should work as long as each of the monitors are within the weight capacity of 19.8 lbs. You might need to adjust the gas spring for best results.
Can you stack two 34" 21:9 displays with this mount? I have two Dell U3415W that I want to stack because I do not have the space to mount them side by side.
I would prefer something that can clamp to my desk as it's a shallow desk and want the space the stand takes back.
    A shopper on Dec 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't think this particular type of mount would be very well-suited to top and bottom mounting of 2 monitors. It is mainly designed for side-by-side displays. There are other designs that would work better for stacked monitors.
My desk only has a 7/16" underlip on the back edge. Would this clamp work on the narrow of an underlip?
    A shopper on Apr 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That's probably too small. Thi clamping plate is 2" wide, so the lip on your desk is only about a quarter of the width. Mine has a 1-7/8" lip which leaves a little of the plate exposed, but it works fine. I wouldn't try it on a desk with less than at least 1-1/4" lip so that over half the clamping plate presses against the desk. But, if you can drill a hole in the desktop surface, you can mount the stand using the grommet mount that's included.
I have a glass top desk (1/2" tempered glass) would this mount be ok to use? I plan on using 2 - 23" lenovo LCD monitors that are about 8.2 pounds each.
    James B on Jan 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If your glass desk has a 2 inch hole in the back to mount the base to, then yes it should work fine. I love the stand as it lets me swivel up down and sideways and this allows me to fix or adjust the connections in the back without finding a way to go under the monitor...Make sure your monitors have vesa ports or holes in the back that fit the limited bracket holes on the mount. I had one that sat on the desk and liked it well until I bought this one. But it is an option if you do not have hole and the desk is against the wall. Good luck and remember the cable hiders work weird until you get used to them,,,bottom slides forward and front one pops off.
Does this include the monitor mounting screws?
    A shopper on Feb 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. In my experience Vesa mounts and arms always do come with hardware
I have one 21:9 34in ultrawide and one 16:9 32in, will there be enough room for both on this mount?
    Randall K on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Those are quite large monitors and it would be a tight fit. I would be more concerned about the weight of the monitors as a 32" is quite heavy. I wouldn't recommend using the clamp mount. Using the grommet mount would be best.
Does this also come with a grommet mount?
    A shopper on Mar 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No. Include edge of desk mount or hole through mount. cables can no pass through base so grommet must be adjacent to base.
Will these come back in stock?
    A shopper on Oct 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, we have limited stocks right now but you should be able to place orders while supplies last. New inventory is also in transit but this item sometimes gaps out when big orders are placed. If out of stock, you might also want to consider the smaller version, product 24588. Thank you.
I understand this says up to 34" monitors... but I have two 34" ultra-wide monitors that I'd like to mount. This seems to be the only one on Monoprice that may be capable of doing this. Is this item for me?
    A shopper on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have two 24" monitors with plenty of slack in the arms. I think those 34" can definitely fit, but the arms would probably be totally straight and may limit the opportunity for smaller, slight adjustments.
will this work well with #15525?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes the laptop holder attachment would work well with Product # 15525 (dual monitor gas spring mount) to provide easy adjustability and lots of positioning options for the laptop, allowing for comfortable screen viewing. This mount works best when a laptop is used as a second screen and used with an external mouse and keyboard.
hi got a question.. i will use this on a tempered glass desk. and will use 2 32" tv/monitor that weighs 17 lbs. each totaling of 51 - 52 lbs including the desk mount... will it break the glass? or do i need to distribute stress on glass..
    New User U on May 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I actually have my two monitors 34 in on a Costco stand up adjustable desk with a tempered glass I just made sure that I did not tighten the clamp too much and it works so far. I also received confirmation from the manufacturer's website when someone ask the same question. So I am hoping that the manufacturer is correct and it will continue to work for me
What's the maximum height the arms can go?

I have a glass top desk with edges that about 7" thick. Can the clamp be replaced/changed out to use one that would allow it to fit on a 7" thick edge?

    Dual monitor mount
Needed this to get some access to my physical desktop. Two upright monitors on a desk really limits the desk space.

PROS: Get the monitors up off of the desk and closer to my face without having to lean forward.

CONS: It will work much better for you if you have some space behind your desk so that the arms can project out that direction.
In my case my desk is up against a wall so that the degrees of freedom of adjustment are greatly limited.

    Very Happy
I have been looking for a mount for a long time, something to fit my two LG ultrawidescreen monitors (29" models, 29um68). I am happy to say that this works very well, and stays PUT. Easy to assemble, great looking, and sturdy. Monitors will fit side by side in landscape mode, or in portrait mode (currently have 1 of each. Best value for the price, imho.

    PROS: Great Looking
Big enough to fit two 29" ultrawide monitors
    easy assembly

CONS: Shipping was extra, instead of included.

Works great, but cable managemetn lacking one feature.
Very good product. Just wish the cables could go through the base into the grommet used to mount it.

    PROS: Inexpensive by comparison.
Holds two 24” monitors very well.
Can rotate screens and move it as needed.
Cable management good down to the base.
    Seems sturdy.

CONS: Instructions lacking, but not too bad if you read them as you go.
Getting them in the perfect position can take some time.
If your desk is against a wall you will be limited on some movement.
Though it is designed to use the grommet holes to mount, it does not appear it was thought all the way through. I have to give up the reason for having a grommet as the cables do not fit through the hole with this unit using it. Seems like there should be a way to run the cables through the base, would look really clean.
Tired of showing everyone what it does and why I got one.

    Great Monitor Mount
I wanted to replace a fixed-height monitor mount with a gas-spring model. After extensive comparison between the various options on the market, I went with the always great Monoprice option. Definitely was not disappointed.

Setup is pretty straightforward. Without a doubt, the best part of the design is the detachable VESA mounts. On other mounts, attaching your monitor to the VESA bracket can be quite a challenge, as you try to hold the monitor in place while screwing in from the back. This mount has a much better design - brackets are entirely separate from the mount. You attach the flat bracket to the monitor, then securely clip it to the arms. Definitely makes the setup process easier.

So far the gas springs have been great - once I dialed them, there's no sagging from them, but the arms are very adjustable.

    Highly recommended!

PROS: Price, durability, adjustability, detachable VESA mounts

I never thought I could feel this way about a dual-monitor stand. I LOVE this stand!

I have two different size monitors. My main screen is 30", and the side screen is 24". Looking at the reviews of other dual-monitor stands, I never felt confident about the stability or the adjustability of the stands. But even though this stand had no reviews yet (being a new product), this stand looked like it would work for me. And it does!

First, adjusability. The monitors are different heights, and I don't wan them aligned exactly on center of each other. Also, I don't want the screens parallel to each other, but rather angled at the corner of my desk. And I want them tilted down slightly, not straight up and down. This stand is perfect on all counts.

Second, stability. I don't want the monitors bouncing around as I bump my desk while working. I also don't want the arms on the stand straining to hold up the monitors. After adjusting the tightness/tension with the included Allen-key, the monitors are held in position firmly, yet I can still move them up and down without changing the tension adjustment. Perfect!

PROS: Very adjustable. Height, angle, distance between monitors.
Very stable. Mounts firmly to the edge of my desktop (1" thick). Arms hold monitors firmly with no bouncing.
Can be optionally be mounted anywhere on the desktop though a 1/4" (approx) hole you drill through the desk, using the separate mounting hardware that's included..
Good wire management using plastic snap-on covers on the arms.
VESA mounting plates mount on the monitors separately, then easily slip into the connectors on the arms.

CONS: I can't really come up with any legitimate cons about this product. If I had to come up with something negative, maybe I'd say that the screws that hold the black VESA mount to the back of the monitor are silver, not black. But since I don't see the back side of the monitors, so I don't really care..

    Great But Expensive Shipping
I have this item supporting my 34" Acer X34 and 23" Dell IPS LCD. The mounts are very good quality and the mounting design allows for connecting the back plate to the monitor and snapping it into the arms. It worked perfect for the Dell but not for the Acer. The snap in mount only works with flat backed monitors around the mounting points. The Acer has protrusions that require mounting the LCD while it's connected to the arm, so it goes from a 1 to a 2 person job. This is not Monoprice's fault but a slight change in the design would correct the problem. Shipping was over $30, which seemed a bit much. Overall, it's still worth the money when compared to anything else available locally or on Amazon.

    Excellent Mount for the Money
Was simple to install and the gas-assist movement is very smooth. Costs a fraction of the price of the competitors, and the utility is completely on par. Build quality is great. I actually prefer the design of the cable management channels on this one rather than the name brand unit another person in the office has. Monoprice did a great job on this, and I would buy again or recommend to anyone. I am using this with dual LG 27" monitors.

    PROS: Cost-effective.
    Great motion.
    Aesthetics are appealing.

CONS: Cable management is well designed, but the covers could be a bit sturdier. If I were to frequently access it, I would be worried about it holding up over time.

    Very sturdy with high adjustability
This dual monitor is great. It appears to be very durable and it is easy to adjust where your monitors will "float" over your work space. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the cable management for the lowest section of the arms is difficult to remove. I gave up trying to remove the plastic cable management sections on the lowest section of the arms for now since I don't want to risk breaking the plastic tabs that hold those in place. The upper sections were easy to remove and help to hide cables quite well.

    PROS: Study
    Looks good
Easy to adjust monitor height etc.

CONS: Difficult to remove lowest sections of cable management plastic pieces

    Excellent Mount!
Comes with everything the I needed to flush mount to a desk. The arm tension is adjustable and worked perfectly for my client.

    Honking Nerd Arms
    I bought these to mount 2 - 22" monitors.
The assembly, setup, and configuration was straightforward and simple.. However, it took me a little bit to figure out optimum stand placement. It took a little longer still to figure out how best tp position the monster arms to get the desired configuration. I think I could have easily gone with the smaller stand.

These nerd arms would make a t-1000 proud!
