    Does the job nicely.
Don't make the mistake of thinking two single plates can fit over a two-gang bracket. The single plates would need to overlap at the center. Only purchase two-gang brackets for two-gang plates e.g. the 5.1 and 6.1 surround sound connectors.

PROS: Outside edge (that fits against the drywall) has minimum irregularities, meaning an easier and more accurate fit.

CONS: The screw tips will scratch your hand to death if you need to put your hand in the wall after the bracket is installed - so fish all of your wires out the wall, put them through the bracket and then install the bracket.

    Missing Parts
I ordered two of these brackets a few months ago, but just got around to using them today. I noticed both brackets came without their wings that actually hold the plate to the wall. They also did not ship with a cutout template. Missing these items made the brackets completely useless. If just one had been missing parts it would've made me a pretty put out, but understanding things happen, two missing parts make we question the QA on these parts.

PROS: Looks like every other retro bracket I've used.

    CONS: Missing parts.

    Great Product!
Worked as expected. I was origianlly worried that I would cut the hole in the drywall too large. I took my time and cut it just right. After installing it, I realized the hole didn't need to be so perfect because the cover would allow some coverage if the cut was a little "fat". This would also allow some clocking of this piece in case the cut wasn't perfectly flat. The bracket seems to be pretty high quality, contrary to some of the other reviews - just don't wrench down on it and all will be ok

Very reasonably priced. I removed the bracket from the wall several times to accomodate wire pulls. The bracket re-installed each time with no damage, leaving a professional finished appearance.

    Good Bracket
Monoprice low voltage brackets are good enough quality so that the tabs dont break from power drills, but have pre-cut threads.
The Home Depot brackets require you to "cut" in threads the first time you tighten it down so quite the chore without power tools.
