In either case it's a win-win situation for those who desire high fidelity and those who put emphasis on decor.
DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber cones are light weight yet extremely rigid providing very precise audio with minimal distortion normally caused by cone flex. Our Kevlar® speakers are matched with an equally precise silk membrane dome tweeter made of titanium fiber thread and a high quality crossover network to ensure high fidelity and low distortion. The lower distortion levels allow the speaker to be driven harder and handle higher peak power levels. The main benefit our Kevlar® speakers are the clarity and fidelity at which they produce audio.
- Light and rigid, well balanced, yellow woven Kevlar® cone woofers for distortion free reproduction
- Oversized magnets for more impactful bass
- Precision titanium silk membrane dome tweeters for sweeter highs and pure sonic clarity
- Pivoting tweeters allow you to point the accoustics to the prime listening position for a more accurate and immersive sonic experience
- Adjustable crossover switch allows you to match the speakers to the sonic characteristics of your listening environment and the location in which you place them
- 50W nomimal and 100W maximum power handling capacity ensures that these drivers won't be overdriven or easily blown out
- 8 ohms standard impediance ensure they can be safely driven by even the most modest home theater recievers

A little background - I've considered myself an audiophile for many years. I have had equipment ranging from Bryston to Creek to Mark Levinson and speakers by Dynaudio, Axiom and Definitive. Have spent far far too much on cables, and the like. As I get older my aging drummer ears can't really hear the subtle nuances that multi-thousand dollar equipment reproduces. That being said, I'm far from deaf and can tell a good speaker from a bad one.
So, I've been on a budget kick of late to find the best bang for the buck. I took a chance with these guys, and they certainly deliver. I won't be doing any critical listening with this set-up but for movies it sure beats the hell out of the speakers in the TV!
I also have the 6 1/2" rectangular pair and a center channel to install and set-up. Will write about those once they're up and running.
Very happy with these.
I just finished the install last week and tested each room - 11 pair total - by hooking up my Sonos amp. I was really blown away. For the cost associated, I can't believe it ended up sounding as good as it did. For a system like mine, where I'll generally have several pair contributing to an overall whole home sound, they are amazing.
Overall, I couldn't be happier. I've got 11 pair running around the house and all for less than $500. Can't beat it.
PROS: * Inexpensive
* Easy to install
* Very good sound
CONS: * None
Good/Great sound, depending on how much of a snob you are.
Easy to install.
Wife doesn't yell at me anymore.
CONS: The three position switch on the item is not mentioned anywhere except the exterior of the box, and there's no indication as to what position correlates to what setting. Initially I thought it was a 4 ohm/8 ohm selector, but my meter disagrees. No big deal.
PROS: Speakers (bought 16 of them) work nicely, easy to install particuallarly during construction, but, still easy after. Sound is nice and the size options were very helpful.
CONS: When installing one of the speakers and pulling back a clip to put in the speaker wire, the clip broke off and could not be replaced. Trying to return or get a new one. Also for the gage (12 or 14) wire I have, the speaker clip hole opening was too small and hard to get the wire in.
PROS: -easy install
PROS: Great sound at a great price
