Can the screen be controlled from a switch? If so, which one and what cord and connections are required?
    A shopper on Sep 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the screen can easily be controlled from a switch. The screen has a built in 12v trigger relay. The 12v trigger is controlled by a 3.5mm cable that plugs into the side of the casing. It comes with the appropriate cable included.

To wire for a switch, cut one end off of the included cable. Be sure to be careful to cut off the end of the cable that does NOT fit into the 12v trigger slot on the casing. The included cable is NOT identical on both sides. Only one side will fit into the 12v input.

On the cut side, strip the wires and connect The “Tip” wire (the lead connected to the top of the connector, as opposed to the sleeve) to one side of your switch. The other side of your switch should connect to the “hot” lead of a 12Vdc adapter. The voltage should be 12V, the current rating can be almost anything, although I would keep it under 2amps. I have used 300MA-2A ones with success.

Connect the “cold” or “Neutral” lead from the 12Vdc adapter directly to the sleeve lead from the wire.

Anytime voltage is present on the line (The switch is in the “On” position) the screen will drop. When voltage is cut off (switch in the “Off” position) the screen will raise.

Almost any On/Off light switch, toggle switch, or low voltage switch can be used.
Looking at the screen, what side is the power cord on?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in this projection screen. From the front the power is connected to the left side.

Great screen with promises of a switch you can't get
The screen is fantastic. The sad part is that you can't get the switch that plugs into the screen. We specifically bought the screen so we could hardware the switch that it shows in the manual. But they don't sell it. And they can't tell you what 3rd party switches work with it. I even spoke with a supervisor and asked if they could have a tech person call me and give me some specifics on the jack for the switch so I could find a switch on my own, and they NEVER CALLED ME BACK! You want a 5, then don't give options you can't use, and don't tell someone you'll call and not call.

    PROS: Fantastic, quiet, inexpensive screen.

CONS: Poor support and doesn't offer everything the manual shows it does.

    Great Bang for your Buck!
Building a home theater and wanted a large screen that could be "put away" so the kids wouldn't mess it up. Mounted the brackets rather easily and with the help of my wife we maneuvered the screen up onto the brackets. Soon as it was plugged in we let it loose and it was great. Easy down and up settings with lots of options to plug into a switch or a line that can detect when your projector turns on so it knows to come down. Image quality is great with my projector however I have to warn you that I am no screen professional and probably couldn't give you much detail as to why one screen is much better than another. This is the best bang for your buck on the market (i.e. you won't break the bank). This is a 150 inches of pure joy!

PROS: Professional looking, reliable, sturdy, good quality images

CONS: Heavy and it is pretty loud when the motor is on. I wish there were instructions on how to set the stop point on the screen when it comes down.

Product came double boxed, so no damage. Even with it's large size it was easy to install. Wish you could mount the cord on either side for better concielmen. Unit operates very smoothly down & up. Screen hangs flat, hope that it will not get sags over time. Overall great product for the price.
