Brackets perfect for my setup and system speakers that I have. Installed easy and value was less than what was being asked for in stores. The 5th Star goes to the Speaker Mounting Screw which was included with the Mounting Bracket. Thank You. FA.
Excellent product at a great price. I bought a pair of these to attach to some satellite speakers with nonstandard mounting configurations. One quick trip to the hardware store and they were good to go. Very sturdy and easy to attach to the wall. Couldn’t be happier.
I bought this mount specifically for some 5.1 speakers that I also bought from Monoprice, the wall attachment is fine but the screw that attaches the speaker to mount is too small. - it fell right out without even catching onto the threading, i need to go to a hardware store to get the next size up. no big deal, screws are cheap. it's just annoying to have to do an extra step or 2 to make it work when both products are FROM Monoprice
PROS: screws onto wall just fine
CONS: the bolt that attaches to the speaker doesn't fit.
also on closer inspection, the silver paint does look cheap but it's going to be hidden by the speaker so it doesn't matter.
I bought the silver ones because the black ones were out of stock. I should have waited. The silver transferred to the wall because it sits so tight and scapes some of the silver paint as you push the bracket down. Also I found these do not include the correct mounting screw for the 10565 Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer speakers that I was trying to mount. They are pretty good mounts though.
These mounting brackets installed easily and use. A backer plate mounts flush to the wall with a center hole opening for the speaker wire. The top bracket, with speaker attached, slide down over the backer plate. If your speaker wire is a large gauge this would make it difficult to slide the speaker mount over the backer plate. My was used for satellite speaker so wire size was not an issue.
Since the manual might be hard to get, I'll give quick installation instructions.
1) Don't mount this on Drywall only 2) Drill a hole in the wall, it should be large enough to fit the anchor if it's Masonary, or a little smaller then the screw if your putting it in wood, 3) Take apart the mount 4) Put the anchor in a masonary wall, don't use it with drywall or wood 5) Screw in the metal bracket in the back of this mount, but leave it a little loose 5) Slide the mount over the bracket on the wall 6) Screw the speaker on the bracket 7) Reassemble the bracket
PROS: Easy to install Lightweight but durable Amazing value
