Will this work with speakers other than Sonos?
    Gerald G on May 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The spacing from the base of the speaker to the mounting hike for the screw is specific to the Sonos Play1. It would be a huge coincidence for those critical dimension to be the same for another mfg speaker. The included mounting bolt can easily be replaced if your speakers require a different thread so that would not be an issue. Side note: the stands are well manufactured, look great and easy to attach the Play1.s...and a good value.
Have they fixed the bolt issue yet? Monoprice??

Would these work for Sonos One speakers ?
    A shopper on Aug 27, 2018
Do these stands come in pairs or EACH? Need to purchase 4. Thanks
    Alfred D on Oct 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They come in pairs and worth the price.
    Are there still bolt issues?
    Andrew C on Jun 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All was good with mine, however I used a pair of black knobs that I had around for attaching the Sonos Play 1s. An aesthetic decision. Good little stands for the price.
Would you be able to use this with the Play 3s using extra hardware?
    andrew a on Nov 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The stand seems sturdy enough but you will probably need to add weight to the bottom or secure it to keep from tipping over

I haven't finished putting my speakers on these stands yet, but I can warn you that the screws that go into the back of your very expensive Sonos speakers are too long. I stripped the first Sonos speaker because I thought the speaker was too loose on the stand and overtightened it. You will want to use a shim or buy a shorter screw. According to Sonos' website, the speaker mount is 1/4 inch (6.35mm) / 20-thread.

    PROS: Solid

CONS: supplied speaker mount screw is too long, instructions are also unclear

    Wrong threading on bolt
The instructions were borderline unreadable. However, after fitting it together, the bolt that is included to secure the speaker to the stand is not the correct threading. This renders the stand pretty much useless. I have yet to decide if I'll acquire the correct bolt or return them.

Look nice, but the hex bolt for the speaker is too small
The subject says it all: the stands look nice, but the hex bolt intended to affix the speaker to the stand doesn't properly fit the Sonos Play:1 Speaker
    February 28, 2016
    1. price is good.
    2. Wrong length Hex mount screw too long, ended up striping and damaging speaker mount hole.
    3. Bottom cable retainer screw size mismatch.
    4. Bottom mount to stand screw size mismatch

    PROS: Cheap

    CONS: Built cheap

DO NOT BUY: extremely difficult to assemble, shoddy part quality
Bought two of these and received them the next week. Packaging was fine. Stand is *impossible* to screw into the base. Had two people working on it, and could not get the second screw in. Tried, and the screw broke off in the stand, rendering it useless. Terrible product quality. DO NOT BUY.

    Doesn't work. Don't do it.
The screw provided to attach to the Sonos Play:1 doesn't fit. It's not the right size screw. The screws that are supposed to protect the cord on the bottom of the stand to get the cables out of the way also don't fit. Accordingly, this is a non-functioning product. Don't order it.

PROS: None. It doesn't workthe screws don't fit so you can't attach a Sonos Play:1 to the base.

    Worth it
I was a little concerned based on older reviews, but like more recent purchasers have found they have obviously revised the included screws.

The instructions aren't great (start by skipping the book, download the PDF from this website instead!), but it went together easily enough. I just used my thumb to screw in the speaker itself (just to be on the safe side) but even with that there's no wobble.

Nice and sturdy, looks decent, and the price is just brilliant.

Look great, not that difficult to assemble if you're handy!
After reading all of the comments here I was prepared for the worse – The only other Sonos speaker stands I could find where going to cost me more than 10 times what MonoPrice wanted! I had a tough time with the bolts intended to hold the upright tube. Very tight, so I threw them away and used some #8 metal screws. As many have already mentioned, the bolts intended to hold the speakers are not the right thread. I checked in my shop and found a couple of 1” long ¼ 20 bolts with nuts and washers. I gently did up the bolt and then tightened the nut and washer in place to hold the speaker – it’s on the back facing the wall so you can’t see it. My wife came home and said “those look nice”!

    You're on your own......
Product when finally assembled worked out because I knew when I purchased them that there were issues thanks to reviews i read.
The screws that came with the set don't fit the play 1 speakers that they were are designed for. Why would that be?
I had to supply my own. ( Made a trip to Home Depot)
Monoprice needs to correct their product issues in a more timley fashon.
Be carefiull that you don't damage your speakers trying to inser the wrong screws too far.
The directions were not legable ot understandable.

    Definitely worth it
As everyone has said, the included instructions are not the greatest. However, it is not too difficult to set up once you have figured it out. It is stable and yet not too challenging to move.

Would recommend it for the Play:1
