Low Profile 22 lb. Capacity Speaker Wall Mount Brackets (Pair), Black

Mount your satellite speakers to the wall using this Speaker Wall Mounting Bracket set from Monoprice!

This set comes with two wall mount brackets for speakers weighing up to 22 lbs each. Each bracket is a two-piece unit, with an ABS bracket that mounts onto the wall and another ABS bracket to hold the speaker. The two brackets are then attached with a simple slide/lock mechanism, which ensures that they will not fall.

The speaker brackets feature a ball jointed 1/4"x20 threaded screw. A keyhole to 1/4"x20 adapter is included for use with speakers that lack a native 1/4"x20 mounting point. All necessary mounting hardware is included.

Would you use these to mount 13 lb bookshelf speakers into studs? Has anyone used these for that weight?
    A shopper on Mar 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. If your bookshelf speakers are equipped with pre-threaded 1/4"x20 mounting points or a keyhole mounting points, it would be able to hold no problem.
will these work with Bose cube speakers?

This will work with bose speakers ub 20 series?
    A shopper on Jul 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I do not own those speakers but from what I see on various sites (including the Crutchfield, tutorial video about this) one must predictably use proprietary, Bose brackets designed specifically for those speakers. The Monoprice brackets work well with any speakers that have a standard, pre-drilled hole in the back -- something the Bose speakers seem to be lacking.
Will these mount up to an electrical box in the wall?
    A shopper on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This wall mount's back plate (the plate that is attached to wall) is smaller than a one-gang electrical box. You'd need to attach this back plate to an electric box cover plate first then secure cover plate to electrical box. Might work if your intended speaker is small and light.

Will these mounts work for the rear speakers in a Samsung sound bar system?
    A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They will work fine if the speakers have pre-threaded holes. Just know that the provided wall anchors provided do not work well. It is best to use superior ones from a hardware store or supplement each step with the use of Gorilla Glue. Regardless of what other reviewers have said, these brackets work well in drywall.
Will these mounts work for the rear speakers from a Samsung sound bar system?
    A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. If your Samsung Sound Bar System has 1/4"x20 mounting threads and it does not exceed the weight limit then these should work just fine.

    Descent bracket
Used brackets to hold 10lb front speakers. Did the job but do not think they would work on heavier speakers.

PROS: Nice close to wall bracket.

CONS: Barely hold my 10lb speakers.

22 Lbs is over rated . Maybe 10LB MAX Speaker Mount side needs to be heaver

    PROS: Price Is good

CONS: 22 Lbs is over rated . Speaker Mount side needs to be heaver

    Very sturdy speaker mounts!
i've bought two sets of these and they've worked great! i used a pair to mount my center channel speaker under my LCD and it worked out flawlessly. i would definitely use these again in future projects.

PROS: - mounts with 4 anchors so they can withstand the weight

    - able to slide the speaker out of the mounting bracket

    - ability to achieve just about any angle with the pillowball design

    - comes with different brackets to mount just about any speaker type

    - of course...LOW PRICE!

CONS: - none that i experienced

    not strong
These are nice and clever little brackets but are not strong enough to hold my 8 lb speaker at an angle. It sags under the torque. They might be great for a tiny satellite surround speaker. Sadly, return shipping costs more than these costs, so I will keep them

    PROS: small and simple

CONS: not even close to 22 lb capacity if the speaker is to be angled

Good For Small Speakers (22 lbs. is a stretch)
I bought these to mount Onkyo Home Theatre R and L front speakers up and to the side of my screen. The speakers weigh 8.4lbs. I had to reinforce the speaker back with wood, liquid nails, and wood screws so the mount wouldn't pull out. Once I did that, I thought it would work fine. Upon mounting, the screw with the swivel ball deflected (bent) and the speaker wouldn't stay upright, it kept bending and pointing the speaker to the floor and not the audience.

I ended up mounting Styrofoam on the front corner of the speaker so it would be close to level.

I would only recommend this mount for small speakers, probably 2.2 lbs and not 22 lbs.

PROS: Easy to mount, variety of mounting options.

CONS: Not heavy duty enough for 8.4 lbs speakers, screw needs to be much thicker so it won't deflect.

    Speaker Mounts
I am using these mounts for a pair of bookshelf speakers that are my rear surrounds. Each come in around 7lbs and these work great so far. They are able to rotate the speakers a bit, but also keep them solidly in place when I have them tightened up at the angle I want. I'd say feel free to buy with confidence with these. I was a little worried they would work out, but am very happy with them.

PROS: Easy install, easily hidden with speakers I'm using, rotate

    CONS: none so far

    Effective, but not perfect.
I bought 4 pairs of these speaker mounts for my bookshelf-sized speakers.
    1. Most importantly, they are very solid - if mounted directed into a stud (I didn't use the provided drywall anchors, so can't comment on them).
    2. They include the hardware necessary for almost all speakers - keyhole slot, screw-in type, etc.
    3. The adjustability is pretty good - 360 of speaker rotation, about 30 degrees tilt left/right or up/down.
    4. Very good value for the price paid.

CONS: Not deal-breakers, but room for improvement.
    1. As others have mentioned, the purported weight limit is ludicrous. I have 8 lb speakers on these mounts, and while I'm confident they will not fall off the wall, it's not that easy to hold them exactly in place. I sure wouldn't want to go much bigger than 10 - 12 lbs for speaker weight with these mounts.
    2. The adjustable speaker angle is tough to "lock down" - twisting the triangular plastic piece becomes increasingly difficult when tightening the speaker securely in place. But you have to make it very tight, or else the speaker will "sag" a little bit from the desired position, especially for heavier speakers. And once the speaker is securely in position, I don't want to go through the hassle of loosening / re-tightening the mount - which sort of defeats the point of an adjustable speaker mount.
    3. The bolt used for the speaker mount seems excessively long, meaning the speakers stick out of the wall about an inch more than they need to. Perhaps some threaded speaker holes require such a long bolt, but my keyhole slot speakers stick out more than necessary.

    A bit misleading
As with all orders from Monoprice, it came quickly and was in great packaging. The hardware itself feels well made and not cheap at all. Upon measuring and drilling the pilot holes for the wall anchors, I began to struggle with the claims made. First warning: DO NOT USE THE ANCHORS! The anchors will easily fall into your wall and you'll be left with a hole that is too big for most other anchors. Go to Home Depot and get good wall anchors rated for 20lb+. When I got the mounting up and got the bracket attached to the speakers (Infinity Primus 163), I quickly realized that the mounts might be able to hold the speakers, but certainly not at any angle. No matter how tight I made it, the speakers quickly dropped until the rested against the wall. For reference, the speakers are 16.1lb each.

PROS: Holds speakers. Has several different speaker mounting options

CONS: Not able to hold 16lbs, much less 22lbs. Useless anchors. No screws to secure mounting bracket to wall bracket.

    Misleading and Insubstantial
These speaker mounts should be fine for speakers under 5 or 6 pounds but are not substantial enough for heavier units. Advertising them as capable of supporting 22 pound speakers is ridiculous and misleading.

    For Cement and Brick ONLY
I bought these to mount my Polk T15s in my living room. However, nothing on the product page indicates that the product is meant for mounting to concrete and brick. A second look at the manual after installing the first mount revealed that little nugget. (It's in the warnings AFTER the installation instructions. No wonder the anchors just pushed right through after drilling the recommended-sized pilot hole!) You will need to take the base plate to the local hardware store to find screws that fit through the plate and matching drywall anchors. Now I have to figure out what size anchors and screws I'm going to stick in these 5/16" holes I already drilled.

The keyhole adapter was too short to get all the way into the keyhole slots, so I also needed to buy new screws for that, too.

If it weren't for the poor labeling, I would rate this 4 stars taking price into account.

PROS: Probably works great on cement and brick
    Low price, good quality

    CONS: Mounting hardware all metric
Mounting hardware all intended for cement or brick
