These headphones have a good sound to them with a comfortable headband cushion and soft earpieces covered in a faux leather material type.
These headphones will be best used in a mobile-device situation due to the short cord, plugging the headphones into a headphone port makes you feel like you are sitting on top of your computer case to use the and have some slack from the cord.
The headphones will come in a frustration-free packaging. They come in a white box with a plastic bag around the unit.
I was provided these headphones from Monoprice free of charge for review.
PROS: Minimalistic Design, Soft Padding
CONS: Short Cord
PROS: Inexpensive, lightweight
CONS: Too bass heavy. Recessed, muddy mids and highs.
Some have complained that the cord is too short, and it is a little short for use at my desk (my Audioengine D1 DAC is on a shelf underneath), but for portable use, it's just fine.
Another note: these headphones are pretty easy to drive, allowing lower volume settings (and thus less battery drainage) on your portable player.
As a professional musician, I'm picky about sound, and I really enjoy listening to thesemaybe because I can't believe that sound this good is so inexpensive. I will buy another pair. Highly recommended!
In-line play/pause switch/mic
CONS: No in-line volume control (but I don't care, so it's not a "con" for me)
Lately, my daughter has taken to using them and she really likes them. Her laptop uses the same headset plug connection for headphones and microphone in the same plug so they work great if she needs a microphone.
The ear cups swivel flat which makes it very easy to slide them in a back pack or put them away in a drawer for storage. The headband doesn't fold up like some other models, but these aren't that large so it isn't really necessary for them to do that.
I still prefer my premium Hi-Fi headphones (PID 8323) to these and as long as I don't need a microphone they are my preferred headphones still.
If you need a small headset with a nice short cord, then save a few bucks and get these. If you need just headphones and like a detachable cord, then I would recommend spending a few more dollars and getting the others (PID 8323). I'm tempted to try the newer over-the-ear headphones (PID 10243) to see how I like them, but right now they are more expensive.
PROS: Good sound quality. Convenient cord length for personal devices. Folds flat for easy storage. Microphone is fairly clear quality. Blocks out sound well for an on-ear headphone.
CONS: Headset band is a little small. I'm pretty average and I have them extended out all the way. Not comfortable when I'm wearing glasses (since the ear cups sit on my ear). No in-line mute function for microphone.
PROS: Quality sound, comfortable, lightweight
PROS: Great balanced sound and very lightweight. Amazing buy at this price.
CONS: I wish these headphones were designed to let you swap out the cords like Monoprice does on other models. It would be great to have an option for a short cord that would just reach your shirt pocket or arm band.
CONS: Cord could be a tiny bit longer.
Full Spacious sound
Lots of Bass
PROS: Very good sound quality for the money - comparable to headphones costing 20x more in some cases.
CONS: A little cheap-feeling plastic
A little tight on the head (I have a larger head and it barely fits it)
No note of "R" or "L" side as far as I could see.
and the built in microphone I'm clueless as to how it even works.
PROS: Good sounding headphones for the price ! Really helped my onboard audio sound better
and boosted the volume levels and bass.
CONS: Very short cable !!! had to order an extension cable .
The inline control does not work and kinda shorts out when i hit it.
And this built in microphone.... where is it and how would it connect to the mic port?........
I'm sure the warranty would replace the headphones but they do what I need them to.
Not worth paying shipping to get replaced.
