Deluxe Backlit Keyboard
You can type in the dark without making a mistake using this Deluxe Backlit Keyboard from Monoprice!
This keyboard features blue LED lighting for each key. The light illuminates the letters as well as the edges of each key. The illumination can be turned on and off using a key where the Scroll Lock key normally goes (this keyboard does not have a Scroll Lock key). The USB cable is about 58" long.
The keyboard wobbled as I typed when I first got it. Very annoying. The body of the keyboard must not be straight because after removing the left and center front rubber feet, the keyboard was balanced and no longer wobbled. I re-positioned the rubber feet I removed a bit further back so the bottom of the keyboard does not touch my desk and now it's rock solid.
PROS: Illuminated keyboard functions well and looks cool
CONS: Keys are a bit mushy and have a rubbery feel
Wobbled until I remedied the problem myself
No frills of any kind
No way to change the angle of the keyboard
I would absolutely purchase this keyboard again.
PROS: Nice backlight, pleasant blue color. Smooth operation.
CONS: Sometimes my "N" key sticks down - Not an issue, just something I noticed.
PROS: easy to see the keys in darkened room
CONS: It would have been nice if it automatically lit up when you turn on the computer
I wish someone made keyboards in white, off-white or light gray for seniors who have trouble seeing black keyboards.
PROS: Chiclet style keyboard keeps keyboard cleaner
Back light can be turned on or off
CONS: None that I've noticed.
— Keyboard is an odd small/mid-size form factor, larger than the laptops I've used but smaller than any keyboard that wasn't explicitly marketed as "small form factor." It was maybe a little too big for my 4-foot tall child, and maybe a little too small for me as a 6'4" adult.
— Keys are depress and return softly in volume (quiet in operation) but also in force (little kinetic response to indicate the key has returned to an 'up' position). It's not a mechanical switch keyboard, obviously, but the keys are a little squishier than what I'm used to.
PROS: — LED is bright enough for clear legibility of keys, even after I accidentally put a 100W bulb in the light fixture above my computer.
CONS: — Backlight defaults to off whenever the computer powers down completely.
PROS: Very good inexpensive backlit with interchangeable keys keyboard.
CONS: The keyboard arrived with two keys off and one stuck that I had to cut pieces of plastic with a box cutter to finally get it unstuck.
PROS: 1. It is bright. I have had four others which are rather dim and don't help much
2. Not only the letters and numbers are lit but the sides of the keys, which makes all the difference.
3. They can be shut off or stay on easily
4. Great price for a backlit keyboard
CONS: Standard keyboard, no extra keys, which I don't use anyway
PROS: Clear legibility on backlit keys, bright but not blinding. Perfect for playing pc games in the dark. Keys feel and appear very durable. Nice middle of the road depression of keys. Almost low profile. Sharp looking keyboard lights on or off.
CONS: None found thus far.
PROS: If you need a simple keyboard that lights up, this fits the ticket for not much cost. Responsive and easy to type with for the most part.
CONS: Not exactly ergonomic and it take a bit of time getting used to but any new keyboard requires time to adjust to.
PROS: Soft lighting makes it easy to see keys. There is a button that allows you to turn it on or off, but I leave it on all the time.
CONS: Missing buttons that make it easier to adjust volume when listening to videos as opposed to using the mouse.
