Monoprice MP Mini Delta 3D Printer
Monoprice MP Mini Delta 3D Printer
BEST ANSWER: I own both and I would say the Delta Mini is best if you want to print quickly and easily with not much tinkering. The Select Mini requires bed leveling and will eventually need you to do a gantry support modification as it is only supported on one side. It's not a difficult or expensive mod but it's a hands on project. If you want to add a glass bed, it requires a bit more tinkering with the Select Mini. Still fairly easy but you'll need to open the printer case and print a Z-stop spacer. So it really depends on how much you are interested in tinkering.
How big is the entire printer? What is its physical footprint?
    A shopper on Aug 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is a bit smaller than 15x15 inches. I'd give it the full 15 since the bed will move forwards and backwards while printing. It is 13 1/2 inches tall.
Could I use PETG filament for this printer?
    A shopper on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but you should replace your build surface with a better one to get proper adhesion.
What is temperature for the filament?
    A shopper on Sep 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it depends on what your using most filament manufactures print the recommended temps on the box/spool

My print bed came warped and makes all the edges of my prints warped. How could I fix it?
    New User U on Feb 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Try contacting monoprice first. That should be covered by a warranty.
Will this print designs from sketch up online on a windows. Also how big is the printing surfac?
    A shopper on Oct 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will print STL files. It doesn't matter what CAD software you use as long as you save the files as STL. After saving the files you need to slice them using software such as Cura, or Slic3r. Then save the sliced gcode on the SD card and print it on the printer.

    The print surface is: 4.7" x 4.7" x 4.7" (120 x 120 x 120 mm)
Will this work with a Mac? Are there special programs for it on the App Store ? Which would those be? And will it connect to wifi with an iPad ?
    A shopper on Sep 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will work with a Mac, I use it with my MacBook Pro and use the program Cura which can be downloaded online and not in the App Store. I have not had success with connecting it to my Wifi though because it can only connect to a 2.4 GHz router.

best bag for the buck, but
I LOVE these printers.. I teach high school and have 4 at school and one at home. The reason I gave it a 4 is that half the printers I've ordered have needed some small adjustments or repairs to get working. HOWEVER! once you get them running they do a great job and are easy to repair. customer service is great too!

Pretty great after initial bed leveling
I've had my printer for all of two weeks so far, but it's been running great. It works just as advertised right out of the box after the initial bed leveling. You will need to take your time on that step to ensure proper prints. Additionally, you may want to tweak print settings in Cura for your prints(primarily print speed and temperature). After those settings, I've had it running non stop with almost no botched prints(other than my poorly designed and poorly sliced CAD files). I've used several other 3d printers that cost $1000 and more and this one competes easily with them.

    Nice little printer
It's a very nice little printer. Dreadfully slow loading files. Transfer SD card. Better yet to invest in a Raspberry Pi and use octopi

Excellent Printer for Price, but needs some improvements
This is a good 3d printer, I am impressed with how well It works out of the box. it printed pretty much everything so far with very little problems; however, the first thing I noticed with all of the prints is that there is a bit of Z banding happening so I think the Z-axis could need some improvements. The the second thing which was a big issue for me was how thin the aluminum bed is. After some time I noticed the bed could not be leveled correctly because the thin bed had warped. I fixed the issue by installing a glass bed which in my opinion was the best upgrade to do for this printer, but I wish that the bed could have either been thicker from the factory or have been glass instead. as a customer, I should not have to fix design flaws on a product. Besides the issue, I am very happy with my purchase.

You should send me replacement heads the three I have on the older Mimi 3D printers. They are junk.
Nice improvement over the older Mimi 3d printer. The main problem I have had with the 3 I have is the print head. The idiot that came up with screw that pushes against the threaded portion of the coupling that holder the filament feed tube should get fired. You fixed it in this version.

    Broken Drive
When I unboxed my printer, one of the idler gears for the build plate drive fell out. I contacted Monoprice via the online chat and they agreed to send me a new one.
