Is this version 1 or version 2?
    New User U on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most likely a version 1, or at least that is what I, and several others have received.
Does this unit use special brand filament, or will it take any filament?
    A shopper on Aug 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Any filament will work, providing it is 1.75mm in diameter. I've used the Monoprice ABS and it prints perfectly. With some adjustment to my slicer software config and an added Garolite bed sheet, I am able to print with nylon. Not one filament jam so far. I have not tried any of the new flexible filaments out there yet.
    Does the software come with?
    Louis A on Feb 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The OS in the printer handles the functions of the printer including manual control of temperatures, extrusion, head movement and file reading. You will need to produce your design files (gcode) with other software. I use Sketchup for model design followed by Cura to produce the gcode that the printer needs to actualize the final model. Both of those are free to download and have reasonable learning curves. Other folks may have their own preferences. Plenty of information out there on YouTube etc to help decide which software you might prefer. The printer itself could be considered an 'entry" model - but I've had a blast with it and it performs very well with PLA.

Great little printer to get started
I've always wanted to get into 3D printing and this printer made it happen. Everything I've read and watched online about this printer has said it's the best starter printer. I'm sooooo glad that I got it.

    Great Purchase
Got this as a beginner's printer. I'm really impressed with the print quality and you can't beat the price. I highly recommend it.

    Nice starter printer
Been having fun with this printer. Comes set up. Cantilever arm is easy to use. Smaller bed easy to check for level. Only problem is it doesn't do ABS well. Will melt it and lay it, but bed can't get hot enough to make it stick. A bit disappointed but otherwise ok.

    Good stuff!
Works well! The occasional hiccup, but all things considered, it's pretty seamless.

    Fantastic performance for the price
I got this printer as a replacement for my no-longer-supported 3D Systems Cube printer. I was frankly skeptical, given the low price. I've had this printer now for three weeks, printing daily, and I'm blown away by its performance. It prints as well, if not better, than my previous $1,000 printer. Better still, it supports a wide variety of materials; I'm using wood composite PLA at the moment, and the result is incredible. I haven't been compensated for this review; I'm just someone who bought this printer on a whim and I've been very impressed.

    Great first 3d printer
This is my first 3D printer and its awesome. It was super easy to use, and getting new models from thingiverse and printing them with the included Cura program is super simple. I know there are bigger printers out there, but as a way to dip your toe into this as a hobby this one is: cheap, fun, and easy to use. Could not be more pleased!

    Linear Bearing rentention
The linear bearing on the left side fell out a couple of times. I glued it back to the block and the outer race with some glue. Seems to be working since.

Be nice if you provided 3d printing and CURA software classes.
