PLA is a good choice for a printing material if you are looking for high accuracy and high resolution. It extrudes at lower temperatures, does not require a heated base, and has a very low shrinkage rate (0.3%). PLA is harder than ABS, but is therefore also a bit more brittle. Additionally, PLA is a plant-based plastic, which means that it is biodegradable and gives off a slightly sweet odor, like roasting corn.
This 1 Kg spool features a thickness of 3.0mm ±0.10mm, with a roundness variation of only 0.03mm. It has a nominal processing temperature of 185° C (365°F). Thickness and roundness factors are laser measured at the factory to ensure accuracy over the entire length of the filament.
The negatives of using PLA is that it is vulnerable to degradation from moisture, sunlight, and heat. Additionally, it is more prone to overheating during processing, which can cause dripping and drooping if it gets too hot.

Material is very tough. The blue color is good as well.
PROS: Came vacuum sealed with desiccant to keep out humidity.
CONS: None so far. Have used about 1/3rd of the reel.
PROS: Tougher than the black or white ones from the site so extruder won't jam on the hobbed bolt as much when printing at a good pressure level.
CONS: Due to it being more rigid than the other 2 colors on the site, you really have to hair spray the base plate like mad if you don't have a hot bed or it will simply not stick down.
PROS: Unlink the white PLA, this filament is in spec. Great price, well packed (sealed with desiccant) on a nice spool. It's translucent and has a slight orange tint, and it's very attractive.
CONS: None, high quality.
CONS: Red is semi-translucent rather than a true solid red. In thick areas it doesn't show much but in thin parts it's more obvious.
