The quality of black printing from this ink is rather low. In the past, my printer, the Epson Workforce 635 did a fine job with most any printing task and ran quickly. I switched to using this ink when I ran out of black ink from Epson because this ink was cheaper. Unfortunately, this has left me with a printer that can barely print text documents. Any document that is primarily black and white, if left on default settings, looks terrible there are many fine lines that run horizontally across entire printed documents which are left blank. Text is faded and hard to read. Black colors never come across properly, and the colors are not consistent across even a single printed page. This problem goes away when the printer is set to "best" or "image" quality printing, but then printing speed slows to a crawl - one page per minute. This is pretty unacceptable to me and I plan on switching back to Epson approved ink.
PROS: Cheap Works fine using "best" or image quality printing
Works perfectly in my Epson Workforce WF-7510. I've used this ink before with no concerns. The page count may be a little smaller, but I don't do a ton of printing so I have no complaints. Shipping was 99 cents for this single cartridge and was delivered in 2 days - super convenient.
I have been using these ink cartridges in my Epson printer for years now. Recently I have even been printing photos for my scrapbooks with these and I am very satisfied with the quality of the prints I am getting. I would (and have) recommended these to family and friends.
Did not work when in stalled in my printer. Bad ink, bad cartridge, bad service policy. The ink expires in another year and 5 months, but Monoprice will not refund me because it's been a year and 3 weeks since I bought it. Waste of $115 in cartridges. Thanks Monoprice, will shop somewhere else for ink!
