PROS: I've been ordering these replacement cartridges for some time - they are quite a savings over the brand name cartridges and seem to work just as well. The one time I had a problem with a cartridge, I contacted Monoprice and they replaced it. I'm quite satisfied and will continue to order them and pocket the savings.
Ive been using the monoprice cartridges for a couple years now and have had very little trouble. I think I've had 2 bad ones out of 60 or so purchased. Monoprice has also been good at replacing the defective ones without much hassle.
PROS: The price is right Good quality carts Seem to work well
CONS: Every once in a while you may get a non-working cartridge
The cartridge has lines on the drum that just won't go away. The more toner used on the page the worse the lines are. This is a cheap rebuild, so it's a bit of a crap shoot. The good news is that it finally convinced me to upgrade my 15 year old printer to something fast, and with native network support.
There could be particles that settle on the imaging unit during the manufacturing process or during transportation that causes occasional light streaking or spots. These issues typically clear up after a few printouts. One step to try is running the printer through a cleaning cycle before printing. Run the printer through a a full cleaning cycle (consult your printer's manual if necessary).
If the issue doesn't improve, you can try the following: 1. Power off the printer 2. Remove the cartridge and gently turn the cartridge side to 2-3 times to evenly distribute the toner. 3. Power on the printer and allow it to restart normally. 4. Print out about 10-20 pages of text or images from the printer. The streaking and spots should clear up at that point.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Hope this helps!
