PROS: We have been using these replacements from Monoprice for about a year. They are working great and have had no problems. Had the machine serviced and the tech told us it was very clean for using after market drums and toners! He said usually aftermarket replacements can be a source of problems.
PROS: Great price and great quality as I've found Monoprice products to be.
CONS: Drum Replacement comes in a Toner box that is the same as the Replacement Toner Cartridges. A bit confusing until you remove it from the box and verify that it is indeed a Drum instead of a Toner Cartridge as labeled on the box.Just a labeling issue, no reflection on the product.
Monoprice should review their policies on replacing defective products even after the initial 30 days as to not put the cost burden of shipment on the customer. This pertains to products kept in inventory beyond 30 days but not put in to service.
PROS: This was a replacement for a defective drum, it was replaced at no cost except we had to pay shipment of the defective drum back to Monoprice.
CONS: Had to pay shipment back to monoprice. If you keep a spare on hand and the 30 days has expired you're stuck with shipping costs. We have had several drums that cause printing issues and it is now to the point that we can't rely on the quality. These types of issues compromise the efficiency of our office and could shut down our printing capability. We need to keep a dependable spare on hand and be able to replace the drum when needed without quality issues.
My Brother 5250DN was still running the original toner cartridge after printing unknown reams of paper. The old cartridge was starting to have missing spots on the page and black on the right edge of the paper. That all disappeared with the new compatible cartridge.
