    What is the input voltage?
    A shopper on Sep 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The power supply is auto-sensing 100-240 50-60 Hz with a US standard three prong plug. It produces 48VDC @ 1.25A (for the ~60 watts...).
Is this switch capable of powering both Mode A and Mode B powered devices simultaneously?
    Brian H on Jul 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes as it is 802.3af compliant it auto detects and adjusts as needed.. "POEs must support BOTH Mode A and Mode B to be compliant with the 802.3af standard"
I have a Monoprice gigabit switch but need a few POE ports to power touch screens. Ports 1-4 on this switch are POE and port 5 is not. Do I connect my non powered Ethernet cable from my 24 port switch to port 5 allowing the remaining ports to be powered?
    john m on Jan 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yeah, best to plug the incoming connection into the non-powered port. Otherwise you have wasted a POE port you could otherwise use for your devices. Also, if you were using multiple POE switches, I can imagine you would have some bad problems plugging powered ports into powered ports.
Does it work across different voltage requirements such as running 12V cameras with 24V antennas?
    A shopper on Aug 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I think that if your equipment is designed to work with the standard POE in should not have any problem, assuming that your cameras are ip cameras
Can this be mounted in an attic, where temps can be extreme?
    Brit A on Mar 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't know at what temperature that you consider extreme. For the price I would consider installing it to see how long it lasts. Have used other vendors tough Switches where temp rated at 130-140 degrees. You are also looking at a couple of hundred dollars for cost.
Can I use this to power TL-WA801ND?
    New User U on Oct 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My mistake I just read about unit , it has POE capability . just match up
1- TL-WA801ND POE requirement with a POE switch of injector ( Best to get POE Injector / Switch recommended by manufacture )
So to answer your question I would avoid mix and match product lines .
I have 5 POE devices that I wish to use this switch with. Can I buy 2 of these switches for these 5 POE devices and use Monoprice 5-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch device to receive all POE info and then send the info to my computer and vice versa?

    PoE at the desk
I use these for low wattage devices like PoE phones and APs were the strain is minimum, saves the customer and facilitates rapid deployment.

    5 port PoE Switch
So far I have the this unit is worth the price and more. I will say its only been in use for a couple of weeks so far but installation went great. I don't think I could have found a better deal anywhere else and Monoprice has not failed me yet.
