How many comes In a pack ?
    Dara P on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 1 qty is 1 coupler.
If you order 10 it will be 1 big bag with 10 little bags, each with one coupler.
Will these fit side by side in a patch panel or wall plate?

    Total Garbage
After connection issues out of the blue I'm ripping out this MonoPrice garbage and installing another brand.

Such a seemingly simple part but truly a piece of junk product this time from MonoPrice.

Avoid these couplers at all cost.

Not worth the hassle to save a couple bucks.

PROS: Worked ok for a few months.

CONS: Started having all sorts of connection issues randomly on 2 of the 4 I have installed.

    Most of them worked
    Not worth the trouble

    PROS: Convenient

CONS: 2/3 of them worked great the other 1/3 have open conductors and shorted pairs.

The worst Item I have ever bought from Monoprice.
I ordered 14 of these for a home networking project. As a result I spent a solid week diagnosing wires with a wire tester, wondering if I bought bad cable, before finally isolating the issue to /8/ of the 14 keystone couplers I bought. Six are currently still in service, but when I get around to it, I am removing every single one and tossing them out.

ANY touch or manipulation of a ethernet cable plugged into one of these, on either side, can cause a temporary disconnect at best, to complete failure of the keystone at worst. This makes diagnosis very frustrating they can literally work fine while you are testing them in one position, then stop working when you plug the tested connection into the device you want to service. Then you start all over again and tear your hair out.

Due to my experience with this product I am never going to buy a keystone product from Monoprice again. Cables, certainly. Other products? YES! Keystones? NO. Not worth the loss of time over such a cheap part. Hopefully buying something twice or thrice as expensive from a competitor is the way to go.

PROS: Look nice when fitted into a face plate. The black colour lets me easily tell them apart from telephone jacks or cat 5 jacks.

    CONS: Unreliable.
    Easy to break.
    Wastes time.

These Keystone Cat6 Inline Coupers are crappy crappy crappy

    Avoid these like the plague.

The smallest amount of up/down pressure on the front panel cable connection WILL cause an unreliable connection in the keystone coupler. The reason for this appears to be the "open interior" construction of the coupler allows mated RJ45 connectors too much movement within the coupler to the point that it is very likely to have either no connection, a connection that is interrupted with the slightest bumb of the cable, or an intermittent connection.

I called monoprice to report the issue, was told I'd receive a call back, but never received a call. These couplers are nothing but problems stay clear!

The fit nicely into high-density panels.

They don't provide a reliable connection even for 100Mbit application.

    Response from Monoprice

My apologies for the issues you were having with our keystone coupler. I will definitely be passing this info onto our QC team for review and possible changes that may need to be made to the product. As for the call back you were supposed to receive sorry for that for we don't really offer tech support via phone for we are all online assisting customer through live chat. If we do get an opportunity to call we do call soon as possible and I was able to have one of our associates give you a call a few days I believe it was and he left a message for you. He will be following up with you the next chance he gets. Again my apologies for this.

It is possible that you may have received some defective keystones and if you like I can perhaps have some replacement sent out being tested before shipped as well. If you no longer have a need for them I can setup an RMA for a refund. Thank you again for your feedback and being a customer of Monoprice.

    Solid Feel, Poor performance
This is the first product from Monoprice for which I will be requesting a refund. The jacks appear well built and feel solid. However, that's about all they offer. The connection to Monoprice's own Cat 6 cables, along with other brands, is completely unreliable. Applying just minimal upward force on the cable, when plugged into the jack, causes complete signal loss. Though rated as Cat 6, the jacks would only permit my gigabit adapter to connect at 100mbps. This occured on every one of the 10 that I purchased. Looking inside the jack, the pin design is highly unusual and seems to lend itself to the unreliable connection. Sadly, the sizing of the jack it such that minimal front pressure (i.e. inserting a cable) causes it to pop out of the Monoprice Patch Panel to which it is inserted. Overall a very bad product, and quite unlike Monoprice. These passthoughs are in stark contrast to every other CAT 6 networking product we have purchased recently from Monoprice (Toolless CAT6 jacks, CAT6 UTP Cable, CAT 6 Patch Cables) which are all exemplary in quality and performance, not to mention price.

    PROS: The jacks feel solid.

CONS: Unreliable connection, does not stay latched into patch panel (distributed by Monoprice.)

    Unreliable Connection
I would not recommend these to anybody.

PROS: Easy to connect two Cat6 Cables

CONS: Like another Reviewer had stated, any up pressure on the connection and it is 100% Signal loss. I thought it was something else and was pulling my hair out. Then I realized it was the connector so I removed it from the equation and all my problems were solved. This is the first thing from monoprice that has ever not worked for me...it made my heart sad :(

    Bad quality.. look for alternatives
Buyer beware, these things are flimsy. You get what you pay for.

PROS: Well, it worked until I decided to relocate the router. Then lost connection.

CONS: Isolated the connection issue to this coupler. When I took the wall plate off and tried to disconnect one of the cables, the thing broke apart in my hand with very little pressure. One of the internal leads broke off as well.

    CONS: None

    Cat6 Inline Coupler Keystone Jack
Great couplers, snap in easy, stay firmly in place. I would like it if Monoprice had a shielded option for the exact same model type, but they don't.

PROS: Easy to use, snaps in place tightly.

CONS: No shielded options from Monoprice.

    Easy Peasy
I bought these so that I could run a cable from upstairs to downstairs without having to use a crimper. These are awesome and work as expected.

I just wish these came in different colors (blue, yellow, red, etc).

PROS: Plug and play. No tools required.

    CONS: None at all.
