Has the height issue been resolved that was mentioned in the reviews a number of years ago? Specifically, can we stack these on top of each other in the rack or is the height causing us to skip positions. Evidently someone didn't know what 1U limitations were.
I have purchased these wire managers on 3 separate occasions now so I am am convinced it is a manufacturing problem. Is anyone doing quality control? The problem for every wire manager I have purchased is the height of the wire manager is too high. After installing two of the managers, I have to skip a rack unit to get the screws in. The screw holes are fine, it's the vertical dimension of the manager that is slightly off. I will not purchase any of these again until that gets resolved.
PROS: Inexpensive and sturdy
CONS: The form factor is not standard rack unit spacing
PROS: Good quality. I have many cables (routers, pc, monitor, external speaker, ip phones, lamp, laptop power supply, cat-5, ... etc), so you can imagine the "spaghetti" I have behind my desk. Now all cables are nice and neat.
PROS: Really good looking bracket, with the sweet monoprice logo. It's clips are metal, so don't expect it to break like my plastic bracket, on my non monoprice one. I used mine by drilling it to a wall for cable management.
These are very good for the price. The rings are a little softer than I hoped. I wish they had vertically oriented D-Rings at the ends to help me tidy vertical runs along the edge of the rack but I realize that for 1U, that may not make as much sense. I have now purchased 7 of these!
