The Monoprice logo is stamped on the front. The logo should be stamped on the back. That doesn't mean anything to end users only installers. The biggest problem is the fact that they don't fit properly in a standard rack. You can only install 1 and then the rest do not line up correctly with the holes thus rendering them completely useless. I will NEVER EVER buy these again from Monoprice.
PROS: The only pro is that they are cheaper than other suppliers
CONS: The first con is that the Monoprice logo stamped on the front. The second and most major is the fact that they don't fit properly in a standard rack.
Guys, monoprice listened and fixed this product...they still have the old pics up, but I can report that the ones I just received DID NOT have the silkscreened logo on the front, and they seemed to line up to the holes just fine. Now that the quality matches the great price, I am giving these full stars.
PROS: Great price...no more logo on the front.
CONS: Comes with 12/24 size rack mount screws which are too big for my rack.
I purchased several of these blank panels in 1U, 2U, and 3U sizes. The panels themselves a very study and have a nice finish but all of the panels are too tall and require modification to fit. You can't even fit two panes together without modifying the holes or bending the lip on the top or bottom edge over. I can't recommend these panels.
Be advised, although these are cheap, strong blank rack panels, they are too large to fit in the proper sized rack opening. The panel itself is 1.75" (per rack unit) tall, but the reinforcing flanged edges of the relatively thick metal cause the overall height to be slightly taller, preventing it from fitting in a standard-sized opening. These will work fine if your rack has loose-fitting gear above and below to compensate for this added height. I think I'll end up using these as a mounting surface for smaller gear or power adaptors on the open back side of my rack.
I would have also preferred not to have the screenprinted Monoprice logo on the front since these are supposed to be *blank* panels, but some spray paint covers that up easily enough.
Overall, I was glad to see Monoprice offering blank rack panels cheap, but these really need to be revised to be useful.
PROS: Low price, quick shipping, very sturdy construction.
CONS: Panel is slightly taller than standard rack units, Monoprice logo is printed on the front.
