It looks like one end is hinged. Is this correct?
    A shopper on Jun 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes one end is hinged so you can access the back of your switch (or whatever you are rack mounting).
It appears one end is hinged, am I seeing this correctly?
    New User U on Jun 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, one end is hinged. It’s so you can mount the patch panel, swing it away to punch down your wires and then swing it back into place and/or make changes or repairs after it’s finished.

    Cheap and easy to install
Being a wall mount panel I would feel much more secure having 4 mounting holes instead of just two. The vertical torsion on the wall can really flex the bracket if you're not careful. Mounts quick, had my 1U patch panel up in about 10 minutes including the drilling time into the concrete.

PROS: This was easily installed in concrete in my basement using tapcon screws and locks in quite well. The hinge arm is nice and helps when I want to install a new line in a patch panel I felt relieved that I didn't have to unbolt from both sides and hold up on my own. Includes it's own screws which work well for mounting, so use these instead of the supplied screws that come with the item you're mounting

CONS: The bracket can hold a bit of weight but is rather flimsy. Only one mounting hole on the back which makes it feel unstable when you're working on the mounted panel. When you unscrew one side and open up the hinge the hinge side flexes quite a bit.

    Quality Mount
Used this to vertically mount my patch panel. Highly recommend. Excellent quality and design. Looks amazing.

PROS: Works perfectly to mount my patch panel to the wall in basement.

CONS: A tad flimsy, but no big deal. Holds up the patch panel just fine.

I finally decided to install a cat6 home network. I instantly thought of turning to Monoprice to get my equipment. I chose these Wall-mount brackets based on various research and was very happy with how easy they were to install. The documentation that Monoprice makes available really made it easy to install and set my fears aside. Thank you for the quality products Monoprice!

    PROS: Great documentation from Monoprice

CONS: Some of the keystone jacks were a bit difficult to get settled but eventually they all settled.

    CONS: None at this point.

    I like it.
It's a fine bracket. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do punch downs while a patch panel is mounted in the bracket. I did punch downs on a table first, and then mounted in the bracket. It worked great.
