    These jacks are great!
These jacks are great! In the reviews I have read that they do not fit next to each other in a 4X or 6X faceplate THIS IS NOT TRUE! They foit just fine!

    Ignore Side-by-Side Warning
These jacks work perfectly I ordered a dozen or so and no failures. They also include a little plastic cable tie in the package that is very helpful for tying down the Ethernet cable as you prepare the wires for punching down..

Ignore the warning about these jacks not working side-by-side in the same wall plate. That is a bald-faced lie! Fear not. They easily fit side be side in a 4x4 keyhole faceplate.

PROS: Easy to use, clear wire coding for T568A or T568B wiring, they DO fit side by side in the same wall plate.

    CONS: None

    Good jack
I have used these throughout my house. I have only had an issue with one that I had to replace, but I think that was my fault.

    PROS: -Easy to use

    -Cost effective

CONS: -Individual wires can sometimes be a tad difficult to keep in place until cap is inserted

Okay if you were new to the whole cat5e punchdown jacks dont be afraid. Its very easy to do.

Punching down was so easy a caveman could do it, literally.'

Ill explain a few things about these jacks that arent shown in the pics.

    1. there are two seperate caps once termination is complete for a nice clean look
    2. there is a zip tie included and a spot to zip tie the cable to the jack, simple put the cable that is stripped through the whole, up to the jacketing and zip tie it on, dont use pliers or a zip tie gun you may damage the wires.
    3. They fit perfectly inside of the PID 1483 wallplates
If you arent paying attention you can mount the jacks upside down ie. cat5e wording will be upside down, simple flip your wallplate over and it will be right side up. I made this mistake first. lol

The first 4 I did punchdowned perfectly, I plugged in a nice new ethernet cable also from here and it instantly had 100Mbit speeds. Sweet.

For my installation I have a 3 hole wallplate on one side of the room with 2 of these catjacks and one modular f type for the cable coming in pid 4886(they were out of stock so I bought similar at lowes)
I have the coax coming from the wallplate to my router, a 5foot ethernet that I bought here from the lan port of my cable MODEM to my linksys router. I then have a 5 foot cable coming from my computer to the router. I then have 2 more 5 foot cables going from the router to my new installed walljacks. The other side of the wall has the same set up but one of the ethernet goes to my wifes computer and the other is a courtesy hookup for guests. It looks and works beautifully.!!!!

I've used dozens of these without any problems, fantastic value compared to other options.

    PROS: Easy to use

Compatible with Leviton plates as well as the much less expensive ones from Monoprice.

Tight Fit but they work fine
After looking at pictures and reading reviews I went with these. Needed to put 6 ports into a Single-Gang fact plate. I had to install them bottom-up or top-down and tilt the jack to snap it in, but you can fit 6 RJ45 jacks into a 6-port faceplate. You may have problems if you are also using BNC, F-connectors or HDMI in the same 6-port face- not sure - didn't have to do that.

    PROS: good price

CONS: the Tan jacks will not match an ivory face-plate - they are Tan.

    Bad batch
I ordered 8 of those, some of them works right. For the others, the RJ45 tab doesn't clip on them so it is unreliable. They lack a small piece of plastic to lock the tab. Tried with several RJ45 cable. Still doesn't lock. It would probably cost more to send them back to Monoprice than to buy them locally.

    PROS: Cheap

    Some of them work

CONS: Some of them doesn't work

    Response from Monoprice

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 5376. Unfortunately, it appears as though you may have received defective keystones. If you would like, I can help setup an RMA for replacements. Please note that obtaining the replacements would be of no additional cost to you as we will cover shipping costs. If you wanted to proceed with the RMA, please let me know how many of the 8 keystones you needed to replace and I can get that started right away. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!

I’m a little impressed, didn’t know what to expect as I normally use another brand at work. These seem to handle POE and 1 gig connections without any loss in signal. I see very little errors across any other the lines. I love the fact they sent clips to hold the ethernet cords in and a zip tie.

Wiring pattern on side is good idea
Some Cat5e jacks come with a paper sheet on which colors of wire to put where. This one has the colors printed on the side for both Type A and Type B. Nice!

I bought a handful of these in various colors to rewire my basement during a remodel, using the colors to match the wiring for easy troubleshooting in the future. For one jack, I bought a premade Monoprice Cat5e cable (PID 5007), then cut off one end to attach to the keystone. Since I left the other end intact, I just made sure to check the wire's jacket to see it was wired as TIA-586-*B*, then used the matching "B" wiring configuration on the keystone. Worked like a charm!

PROS: Easy to use. Best price around. Includes handy zip tie for extra wire security. Excellent quality.

CONS: Does not include punch down tool. Make sure you have your own!
