    Cat6 RJ-45 Toolless Keystone - Beige

Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 6 Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.
This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.
Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

    Too much trouble
While the jacks are up to Cat6 specification, I found them to be insanely difficult to use with Monoprices own 23AWG Cat6 cable. I ended up having to use a pair of needle-nose to pull the wires into the jacks notches so that the blades would engage.

I strongly recommend regular 110 punchdown jacks instead theyre much easier to install.

    These work great
Much better than the ones I bought before for Cat5e cable, these clamp and hold very well and are quicker to assemble.

Great product once you figure them out
this product is great considering the price. the only thing you have to keep in mind is that you have to lower the top after you insert each wire. if you haven't purchased this yet this wont make much sense but once you buy it and have it in hand it will. the ivory color in the picture looks off, in person the color matches perfectly with any ivory wall plate. great product and highly recommended.

it was nice to not have to use a crimp tool on this

CONS: sometimes the wires don't completely clamp down and i had to use my fingernail

Have been successful most of the time
Overall, the product was easy to use and worked well. We replaced some cheap cable that came with our application with cables from Monoprice.com and had virtually no issues getting connections from then on. They also seemed to mount into the face plate securely.

PROS: Only a small screwdriver to seat the wires was needed. Otherwise, no tools required. We color coded our wires all the way from the hub to the jack and then out to our devices making troubleshooting runs very easy.

CONS: We had some really flimsy cable that came with our application and had difficulty getting consistent stabs.

    quick, relatively stable
had one with a loose single open wire after an install of 32 drops of cat6. Probably my fault, as it was the first one of this type I had installed. Easily rectified. Just pay attention on your first few to make sure everything is in the right place.

they are fine I just didn't know how annoying to wire they would be. Not like any one keystone jack I have ever used.

    PROS: They work well

CONS: They are a pain in the butt to wire!!! They are unlike any other keystone jack I have used before.

    It worked... eventually.
I chose these tooless jacks because I did not want to spend the money on a tool, I won't be doing wiring projects on a regular basis. So for the money, they were worth it.

But due to the blades not cutting into the insulation I had a 50% failure rate. Fortunately by opening the jack back up and taking a razor blade, I was able to scrape away the insulation, allowing for a complete connection when I closed the jack again.

PROS: Wiring diagrams are printed on the jack. Pretty easy to figure out how to wire it.

CONS: No instructions. Unless the jack is taken apart on the hinge, very difficult to work the wires into position.
The blades did not adequately cut through the insulation. I had a 50% failure rate.
