This tool is very well constructed-it's strong and durable with normal use wire cutter works with minimal effort crimper pushes plug contacts into place easily however, there were no operater instructions included so, being a novice using this type of tool, I did not know how to operate the wire stripper, and I'm not really sure of the purpose of the ratchet function if there are any other functions, or any settings to make for different uses, that are not obvious to the user, operator instructions would be needed overall it's a great tool at a very low price

Works well. The only problem I have is position of cutting and stripping blades - they are on opposite sides of crimper. First of all it's hard to get thick (cat6) cable inside opening for cutting. Second - because there are two blades on opposite sides, cable is cut twice - once by cutting blade and another - half way through - by stripping blade. Third - cutting blade doesn't allow to cut close enough, for example, you can't cut wires to the edge of cat6 insert - there is 1 - 2 mm gap.

All in all - good crimper, but you'll need an utility knife close by for cutting.

PROS: Tested with Cat6 plugs - flawless

CONS: Position of cutting and stripping blades makes them almost useless.

    great value

PROS: Works well cutting Cat 6 stranded cable, crimps very well too. Solid construction, great finish. Racheting design nice.

CONS: Cable stripper not adjustable- easy to cut through jacket & into stranded pairs.

Not able to lock tool closed for storage- no big deal.

    Work Great
I have made over 150 cat 5e cables with this crimping tool and it works great. The strips save a lot of time and I have never cut a wire. I even fixed my RJ 11 end for my phone with it. I never use the cuts, its easier to use scissors.
