    Will this work with Linux?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, has the Ralink chipset, I use it with Linux Mint all the time, no drivers needed.
    Windows 2000
On the "Full Specs" listing, it says it works with Windows XP and Windows Vista. Why not Windows 7 or 10?
    Tim M on Sep 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It works with Windows 7 & 10 (32 & 64 bit), go to their download page & get the drivers.
Is this adapter version 1 or 2?

BEST ANSWER: May be V2, just depends on what stock the retailer has. Should say V2 in the listing.

    Great Wireless Adapter
Just use the disk to set up, plug it into your computer (or USB Hub) and it just works.

Better than (most) onboard Wireless N notebook cards!
After connecting this & installing software, was able to see 2x as many networks versus the Intel 6235 Wireless N card, on most of my notebooks, plus one PC. At $6.99 each on promo (purchased two), a far better return on investment over the near $30 cards purchased 3-4 years ago. Won't be making that mistake again.

For not having a external antenna, was very surprised at the performance of this card & would recommend even at regular price, if needed. Have an older notebook or HP/Lenovo that can accept only certain inbuilt cards? No worries, this wireless card has you covered.

Watching YouTube & other videos are no problem, don't need an 'AC' or even 'N-300/600/900' for most activities. Doesn't get hot during hard usage either, downloaded two back to back large ISO files, not as a test for the purpose, these were needed, however it's noteworthy that this card remains cool during usage.

Also good for when there's several computers in the home to keep one person on a limited resource network from hogging all of the bandwidth.

To make it short & sweet, the TP-Link TL-WN727N is a fantastic card to own!
