How many cat5E cables could be pulled thru this?
    Edward G on Jun 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is the size of a standard outlet (wall switch/plug) I would say probably 10 or so standard cat5 cables without fittings would comftably fit (if they are premade with connectors on them maybe 6-7) I'm sure you can squeeze more depending on thickness and quality of cat5

    Great wall port.
I mounted these vertically, like an outlet, and left out the inner piece. I ran all my low-voltage cables through two of these. One high and one low. I tie-wrapped the cables to the bracket (via a drilled hole) to support their weight.

PROS: Very handy access to the wall cavity. Mounts directly to drywall.

CONS: The website shows them horizontal but I found them more handy mounted vertical.

    Got the job done!
Used this to hide the hole that was cut in the drywall for running wires. Looks great and super easy to install.

PROS: Works great, functions 100%, nice quality

    CONS: none

    Easy through-wall cable management
These wall plates are excellent when you have several cables of various types that need to be routed through a wall. They are easy to install and look great. I used mine to route KVM cables.

PROS: These plates are self-mounting. Just cut your slot then screw down the brackets to hold in place.

CONS: Not really a con, but a caution. I can be difficult or impossible to route some VGA connectors through the slot on this slim fit unit. The same unit comes with a larger slot that accommodates almost any size connector with ease.

A great product at a super price
I found this very product at a fraction of the cost at MONOPRICE. Other retailers are selling for incredibly much more.. A great product at a super price! Thank you MONOPRICE!

Great wall plate. Comes with a template. Too small for the ends of my HDMI cable but you can thread the end in first before you snap the wall plate to the cover. No problem.

VERY difficult to route a couple of my HDMI cables through, mostly due to the ferrite cores, but was able to manage after some elbow grease, would have been great if I could clip on the back myself... was a bit scared to try to take it apart as i didnt want to break it

PROS: Slim and very clean looking

CONS: came preassembled - the only reason it lost a star
