If I am concerned about insulation. How effective is the brush to reduce air flow in attic and other uninsulated areas?
    Aman P on Nov 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The brushes are thick and tight and I wouldn't expect much airflow through it, as thick and tight as I've seen in brushes, and the would minimize air gaps around your cable coming through it. I installed mine in an internal wall so didn't have to worry about the possibly colder air coming through an external wall or through an attic above.
Is the opening large enough for the end of a DVI cable to fit through?
    A shopper on Jan 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The brush opening dimensions are 0.77" x 0.87". I would recommend measuring your DVI cables port to ensure that it can fit through the opening. I hope this helps.

    Small A/V Passthrough
It is very easy to cut the hole for this A/V wall plate. It is small enough to fit behind my soundbar (VIZIO 2016 "Square" Type) and yet big enough for a few HDMI cables. Installation should be easy for most people.

I had one issue. The rotating brackets for installation do not move far enough back for the thickness of my wall, which admittedly is somewhat unique. The wall I am installing on has standard drywall & a 3/4" thick plywood. This was too thick for the brackets to properly extend and catch. I will most likely need to custom modify this to fit. If you are installing on just standard drywall, you should have no issues.

    Great Product
Smaller than regular outlet covers. Fits hdmi cables, and works well in drywall. Used them for theater room speakers.

Small Brush Plate easy to use & works great for a few cables
This small brush plate is easy to use. Just cut a round hole in your drywall and attach the plate. Since the mounting/wall attachment is integrated into the plate and due to the round hole, this makes it easy to level the plate and then tighten the screws.

The plate can easily accommodate 2 to 3 cables with connectors. Even an HDMI cable will fit through the opening.

    A Godsend
The truth is I can't cut drywall straight to save my life.
After spending $10 on a hole saw, I now have complete confidence in putting holes in people's walls. Not only does the product simply work as designed, but it is priced ideally.
I only wish that monoprice had a power outlet relocation kit that in installed this way.

GREAT PRODUCT!! Perfect for hiding wires in walls.
I was very pleased with the simplicity and function of these. They are perfect for running power, HDMI and optical cable for on wall install for a TV. I also used them for running my speaker wires inwall without have to deal with connection plates, allowing me to keep my Audioquest cables in one piece.

Would love to see a 2.5" or so for multiple coax or RCA cables. All 4 of the plates I ordered functioned flawlessly.

    Nice plate but very small
This plate connects to the wall very easily and seems well built. However, the hole to put the wires through is very small. A wire with a plug on it will not fit through it, even if it's the only wire going through! I had to use a combination of a dremel tool and a utility knife to make the hole big enough to use. I know the description includes the dimensions, but it seems the intended purpose of this box would require a second box just for the power cable.
