What boxes do you use with this?

BEST ANSWER: This a low voltage box so the back is open. If you mean what type of device would go in this it is meant for keystone jacks (network, phone, speakers).

    new construction is best
I used these in a reno, I liked the idea of 4 gang. Having used them I would have adjusted my design to include more support. Mostly on the "non-mounting side" The pics of the product will complete that sentence. It does have plenty of space to accept cables though, in one of mine I have 2 HDMI cables ( the big ones from monoprice) 1 Component, stereo RCA's, 2 network cables, optical toslink and rg6 coax.

PROS: Easy to use, good for new construction

CONS: Not enough support/ on the flimsy side.

    Very sturdy bracket
I have 10 Monoprice 12ga cables plus some other cables in a bundle that will be fed through this bracket. That proved to much for the holes on the backside, so I cut the back off with a tablesaw. The plastic is too thick to cut through without power tools. I don't consider this much of a negative, because I like the overall structure and it should work without modification in most applications. Still, nothing I've seen is as good as this when it comes to larger brackets.

PROS: Very rigid bracket, won't flex at all. Has holes to keep conduit and cables in place on the backside.

CONS: It does take up the full depth of a standard 2x4 stud wall. This may be a problem with large cables bundles.

It is what it says it is
What's there really to say? It's a 4-gang "box". It did it's job!

    good but not ideal
Wish this had a flange on the other side so it rested against the other stud. I thought this item would span the whole stud bay but it does not.

PROS: Sturdy, good quality plastic so it takes a decent screw. Inexpensive.

CONS: Doesn't completely span a 16" stud bay, so it flexes front to back a bit.
