Do adapters work with this? For example, a DisplayPort to DVI adapter? Or DisplayPort to HDMI?

BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend using another adapter with the Thunderbolt 3 Dual DisplayPort Output Adapter. But what you can consider is a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Please note we are also working on a Dual HDMI adapter that should be released in the near future.

I have a "MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)," "Model Identifier: MacBookPro14,1". Will this adapter (Monoprice product # 27404) allow me to have 3 different displays (no mirroring)? That is, two DisplayPort displays plus the MacBook's built-in screen, all simultaneously showing different, non-mirrored content?

BEST ANSWER: I have a Mac book pro (15-inch, 2017, four thunderbolt 3 Port’s), and my monoprice dual display port adapter will allow me to have 3 separate displays, which includes the laptop display without mirrored content.
Or to put it this way, 24 inch monitor one has email, 24 inch monitor 2 has a webpage, and 15 inch built in computer display has an excel worksheet.

Does this work well with a Dell XPS 13? I have a DisplayLink for dual 1080p which works ok, but sometimes it lags and it also uses a lot of CPU. So I was hoping for a better solution.

I’ve tried connecting HDMI to DisplayPort cables to this and the monitors are not being detected by my T480s. Any ideas?

I have two LG 24UD58's - cannot seem to connect both at the same time over thunderbolt 3. I have tried lowering the resolution to each and refresh rates, but am limited to one at a time. Both ports work, but - again - only one at a time. How can I fix this?

Is there a way to make this compatible to extend 2 monitors on the MacBook Pro 13" M1 laptop?
Leza O
on Jul 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No. The M1 chip has a limitation on its thunderbolt ports that only allow 1 DP connection per port. I have the M1 Mac Mini and I can only use a maximum of 3 displays using the built in HDMI port, and two thunderbolt to Displayport adapters. Using this adapter, plugged into two displays causes issues and doesn't work due to limitations disclosed by apple in their specs for these types of Macs.

BEST ANSWER: I believe the M2 Mac Air only supports one external monitor; but I would direct your inquiry to Apple's technical documentation as they would be the final authority on this matter.

Will this "Thunderbolt 3 Dual DisplayPort Output Adapter, 4K@60Hz" accept 2 DP 1.2 inputs and output USB-C signal. I have one 4K display (Lenovo P27U with 3840x2160 resolution @ 60 Hertz) and would like to connect 1 PC desktop video using DP 1.2 and also connect my laptop video using DP1.2 (this means the reverse of what it is doing)? I will only be using 1 computer at a time.

Can I use this on my ASUSii/ OS Windows 11 laptop as a HUB to connect two or three external USB C SSD drives to my laptop? The problem I have is I can't find a multiport HUB that has two or more USB C ports. If this doesn't work any ideas on how to do this without using USB adaptors?

Just works
Honestly tech working this smoothly felt a bit like magic. Plug and play on both windows and mac (tested with XPS 15 and 2018 macbook pro).
Able to extend to 2 additional monitors, plus the laptop display so 3 total.
I've also got monoprice item 33126 attached to it since one of my monitors did not have displayport in and everything just worked.
