Bought these as I wasn't sure how I was going to hook things up to the PC. Fortunately, all I needed to do was get an A/V receiver, plug into that, and go to the TV for use as a monitor and the sound is going thru the A/V to the 7.1s.
For those of us who remain attatched to our vintage stereo equipment that is still sounding great in my books, this affordable little jewel is the perfect solution for getting bigger sound from TV, Bookshelf internet radio, smart phone, etc. using headphone jack as line out to RCA input of my old workhorse amp.
The unit works great and is of great quality, but I had to use an ohmester to find which channels the l & r jacks are, and then mark them with a marker. It's too bad nobody thinks of the little things that would really make them shine.
It works great to convert an RCA cable to a 3.5 mm stereo jack. It is used to record vinyl from a receiver to an iPad using the Line 6 Mobile In. One star reduced because the left and right are not color coded white and red.
