    Does this also support audio?
    A shopper on Jul 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this adapter does support audio.
Is this HDMI 2.0? Will it work with an ultrawide monitor?
    A shopper on Sep 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have my late 2012 MacBook Pro connected to an LG 34" Ultrawide monitor using this adapter with no issues at 2560x1080 resolution.
What's the difference between this adapter (Product ID: 24269 - with UHD) and the similar adapter (Product ID: 33127 - with HDR)?
    Gabriel R on Aug 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: One supports UHD (the original 4k @60hz specification), and the other supports HDR (UHD + High Dynamic Range technology). The practical difference is minimal. If you have a TV/monitor that supports HDR, then getting the HDR compliant adapter will allow for a larger color space and I think a few other advantages to image quality.
    Will this work 4K at 60Hz on a Macbook Pro >= 2014 ?
    A shopper on Jan 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm not certain if it will fully support 4k as we don't have many applications that use 4k. However we do use these adapaters all the time with MacBooks of all stripes with no problems.

Thunderbolt / mini DVI versus USB 3.0 to HDMI
We had to move to the Thunderbolt adapter after Apple's update broke the USB adapter driver. This Thunderbolt adapter worked flawlessly, pure plug-in play and so far has performed better than the USB adapter as one might expect.

    Works great.
Works great with my Sager laptop. However, I wasn't able to get it to work at 4k@60Hz. Perhaps to the fault of the notebook, and not the adapter.

    Used with 7750 video adaptor
The 7750 has two ports that are intelligent but the other four require active adapters. These adapters worked great on the 7750.

Works great with 2012 MacBook Pro!
Works great with my 2012 MacBook Pro. Had problems with a 2009 Dell laptop though. All has to do with the laptop output, however, not the adapter itself.

gtx 670 to 4k tv, not recognized at all, ports and cables work fine

Used it to connect my Macbook Pro to my Samsung TV with a 1080p signal. It looked like it was working at first, but then there are flashes of black every 10-20 seconds. I switched out this adapter with a different one and everything was fine. Adapter is not as stable as I need.
