I would like to run this through my wall, and would like to terminate to wallplate 6727, and keystone Jack 6852 on both ends. Will those work ok with this cable?

BEST ANSWER: While I used an On-Q Cat-6-RJ-45 Keystone plug. (and it works), there is no reason to doubt that your choice will work also. I recommend trying it out - that is - connecting all the cables as they will be when the cable is in the wall. Remember it is a directional cable, with one end labelled source, the other display.
I plan to run a 50 ft fiber hdmi cable and terminate it with this keystone. On the other end of the keystone I plan to use a non-fiber cdmi cable. Will I have any problem with signal degradation with 4K with HDR?

BEST ANSWER: I would recommend using a HDbaseT kit and throw the video signal from the source over Ethernet to the far end. It is a better way of running HDMI long distances, it also gives you some future proofing where if the hdmi std changes you just have to change the kit out rather then running a new cable.
Does this support HDCP 2.2 and 4K?
    CJ R on Dec 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, since this is a mere pass through, it should work fine with HDCP 2.2 and 4k support. Thank you for your inquiry and I hope that helped!
I'm designing my game room for my house, and I was hoping to run this 6 ft premium HDMI into a Keystone HDMI coupler which connects to a 20-25ft version of this cable in the wall, through my tv mount and directly into my tv. Will this cable suffice for such a task (both 6ft and 20-25ft) providing 4k 60Hz HDR features still, or will I get a degraded signal going 26-31ft total with this cable (also through a coupler too if that matters)?

BEST ANSWER: I have a run of approximately 30 ft through interior walls using a coupler. Since installation have fed 4k with no loss of signal. Television is a Samsung 60 in 4k. Mainly used for Powerpoint presentations but will run high quality videos on occasion. Will not be disappointed.
Does it do 4k 60 HDR w/o any problems?
    Siddhartha S on Aug 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I couldn't get it to work with a 4k signal. Had to run a longer HDMI cable directly from my receiver to the tv through my wall. Not as clean looking, but it worked that way. I tried various combinations of cables and connectors and found that almost every connector would cause enough loss in signal as to prevent 4k video from working.
Has anyone used this successfully with Dolby Vision and the Apple TV 4K?
    Michael C on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I’m also having the same problem with Dolby Vision at 4k60 with an Apple TV and these keystone ports. When I try to re-seat the cable in the port, I can make the signal better or worse, but it’s never stable for more than a few seconds. I have four of these installed with the same type/length of Monoprice certified HDMI cable running to my TV behind the wall and the behavior is different with all of them. Some don’t even work at 4k6 HDR 4:2:2.
I read a review that someone experienced issues with these keystones and the "redmere" series HDMI cables. Is this an issue? I'm running 50' redmere active HDMI cables.

CAUTION: Does not work with REDMERE cables
It would be nice if Monoprice would warn me that redmere cables don't play nice with these adapters.

PROS: Works as advertised with normal cables.

CONS: Doesn't work with the Redmere cable I've run in my wall to my TV. The only way I can get a signal to my screen now is to remove the faceplate from the wall and stretch the cable to my receiver. So much for a clean-looking install.

Match carefully to your wall plate!
See "Cons" above. Other than that, these are all high quality components and work well in my Leviton 6-port plate. No complaints other than the above.

PROS: High quality well made component.

CONS: Be careful to match it to your wall plate! I purchased the PID 6733 6-port wall plate at the same time. This keystone did not fit into any of the ports. It's not a matter of it not fitting well with other keystones, by itself it will not fit into the ports. It is too wide. The other keystones I purchased (6557, 6546, 6549, and 6545 all RCA jacks) did. Keystone 6566 (red recessed RCA jack) also was too wide for the 6-port plate.) However, fortunately, I had a spare Leviton 6-port wall plate and all 6 keystones fit into the Leviton wall plate so I am using that. I am not sure where the fault lies, but buyer be informed.

    Does not always work
It's very difficult, if not impossible, to make a good connection if CL2 rated HDMI cable are used (such as item 4965). These in-wall rated HDMI cables are pretty stiff and their ends are larger than most other HDMI cables' ends.

Buy flexible in-wall cable and make sure the end is "small".

    PROS: Inexpensive

CONS: Difficult to install with CL2 HDMI cables.

functional, but hdmi in a keystone requires more
It's an HDMI port in a keystone, sounds great, right? Well ok, it functions does exactly what it's supposed to do.
The problem is just the very fact that it is an HDMI keystone, and no part of the design takes into consideration the rather large size of most HDMI cable ends. This issue was apparently taken into consideration when item 2730 was designed, as they included a 4" extension cable to accommodate tricky in wall connections.
As it is, I'm stuck now purchasing a whole bunch of swiveling adapters (item 5133) in order to (hopefully) make these work.

As an aside, my kingdom for an item like 2730 that simply has two other keystone jacks in it.

    PROS: excellent quality, functional

CONS: the application itself, HDMI in a keystone, is flawed and needs to be considered in terms of design

    Be Careful
I bought these for use with new 3D tv and 3D Blu Ray player. I'm glad I tested them all before mounting tv and running cables between basement and family room because this coupler will NOT support 3D pass through. I'm not actually sure why, but it does not. Otherwise, they work as advertised.

UPDATE I retested these and they now appear to pass a 3D signal, so I would give these a great rating.

PROS: Works as advertised, but not everything is advertised.

CONS: Does not support 1.4 3D

DOES NOT WORK WITH ALL IN WALL CABLES
The in wall HDMI cable works fine when pulled out of the wall and hooked up directly to the TV and source but as soon as you put one of the keystones in between you get no video signal. Take the hdmi coupler keystone out of the loop and everything works fine. So this is NOT compatible with all HDMI cables

    PROS: None

CONS: Does NOT work with my in wall HDMI cables.

great price but quality control is lacking
I bought eight of these but only six worked. Two of the couplers would not transmit a complete signal. My equipment showed the HDMI connection was active, but there was no picture on my TV. When they worked, they worked very well. I also bought two of these from a big-box store and only one of them worked, so these are no worse than any others you would buy.

PROS: when it works it works.

CONS: when it doesn't work it doesn't work.

    1080i works but not 1080p
Worked well with my 1080p signal for approx 1.5 years

    2 keystone + 30ft HMDI inwall cable

Recently it seems the keystones can only take 1080i signal, 1080p signal cuts in and out and when it does work has lots of green lines and dots all around. When I switched to 1080i signal everything looks right now. Yes very strange

For all you interseted did check the HDMI cable - works perfectly.

in anycase works well for me as HD TV is only 1080i or 720p anyway.

    PROS: Looks good
    easy to install
works well when using standard HD TV (720p or 1080i)

CONS: Doesn't seem to work with 1080p - 30ft HDMI

Do Not Work With RedMere 15Ft Ultra Slim!!!
I was told by Monoprice that the 15 Foot RedMere ultra slim (PID 9891) would work with these keystone jacks. They only work with the 15' RedMere cable on the front (outside of wall) end! If there are two ultra slim 15' redmere cables on each end then this will NOT work form what I see with 5 cables and countless keystone jacks! I was told this would not be an issue and all cables were tested individually and double checked to make sure the source and tv ends were correct. oddly enough, this works with a 30' Redmere cable on the back end...

PROS: They work with *some HDMI Cables (RedMere 30Foot for instance on the back end).

CONS: They do NOT work with RedMere 15 Foot Ultra Slim Cables on the back end!!! I was told they would work fine. All my cables have been tested individually and they all fail when the keystone jack is introduced!

    5/5
Had some initial loss of video from the PS3. Went back through everything and noticed I used a low bandwidth cable in the wall. - Fixed that issue and this worked flawlessly. Would buy again.
