PROS: -Fits inside standard keystone hole
CONS: Will NOT work to extend IR repeater/receiver line. I ran this 9766 and 9895 to extend the IR receiver line to my media cabinet. I was unable to transfer the signal. When I disconnected and used a 3.5mm extender like 649 the IR blaster worked great. I have troubleshooted the issue to be the keystone jacks.
PROS: Nice looking connector that fits in a Keystone faceplate.
CONS: Does not work at all.
IR Repeater signal works at all stages before this connector, but when connected the signal does not come through.
Connector does not seem to allow the signal to reach the IR Repeater unit.
The bottom line: IT WORKS!
PROS: It serves the intended purpose.
CONS: It is an extremely tight fit and you question if this is the right piece. But it isdon't give up.
Plan accordingly if you are using these for IR extenders...
As a side note, i have no problems with the regular (non-flush type keystones). It is entirely possible I just have a dud flush type though...
PROS: Cheap, good overall.
PROS: solid connection
CONS: a bit tough to push into. Sometimes pops out of the keystone holder
PROS: Tight connection so no worry about loose cables.
CONS: The connector is wider than a standard keystone.
These may work with the wall plates with the 3/8" spacing between holes.
They do not work with the wall plates or patch panels with the standard 1/16" separation.
These inserts also seem to be a bit too wide in the main body. They have to be forced into the holes.
The RCA jack part, PID 6564 suffers from the same problem.
I thought Monoprice fixed this after the insert RJ-45 problem.
The large selection of insert types is good. But it is of no use if I can only use half of my wall plate or patch panel.
I bought these to use with PID 8731. There was no need for those plates to use the narrow, 1/16" spacing.
The real solution is to engineer ALL keystone inserts to fit the 9/16" width standard unless the connector itself drives non-compliance.
PROS: Works electrically.
CONS: Does not conform to the dimensional requirements for the keystone inserts. This insert cannot be used side-by-side with any other keystone insert because it is too wide.
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 6576. I will submit a complaint regarding the width to our product team so they can look into the matter further. Thank you for the feedback - it is greatly appreciated! For now, if truly dissatisfied with the purchase, I can help setup an RMA for a return on this keystone. If you wanted to proceed with the RMA, please let me know and I can get that started right away. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!
