Can anyone confirm if these wall plates (any of the single, double, quads) meet flush with the wall when using the low-voltage mounting brackets [Product Number: 7013]. I have wall plates from 2 other sources that do not - there is about an 1/8" gap between the outer flange of the wallplate and the wall when fully mounted.

    Thanks in advance!

Monoprice Wall Plate for Keystone, 2 Hole - White
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The wall plate will meet flush to the wall when using the low-voltage mounting bracket such as 7013. The 7013 will be slightly smaller than the wall plate so that the wall plate will be able to cover it and meet with the wall.

Is the Low Voltage Mounting Bracket bracket EPDM, or PVC, or other? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: I believe they're made of ABS. I don't have any on hand at the moment to check, and (to be honest) I never thought about it much - but the weight, degree of flexibility, and (I seem to remember) smell all say "ABS" to me.
Will this work with a double of drywall?
    A shopper on Dec 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This has a significant depth of the mounting screws, so it should work fine. However, for the low price Monoprice charges for these, BUY ONE AND TRY IT! That's the best answer to your question.

I'm a professional drywaller by trade, and these are identical to the ones I see the electricians using all the time. They work great, and will work in pretty much any wallboard thickness from 1/4" up to 1" or even a bit more. One gripe is that due to the fact that the tabs which hold the unit in place are in alternate corners rather than in all four corners, the bracket will warp a bit when you tighten them down, and the coverplate will sometimes sit off the wall about 1/32" on one side or the other. The ones the pros use do the same, though. Finally, there should be a cutout template included with these. It's a pain to try to get the hole straight, level, and the right size without a template especially when trying to mount next to an existing device box, where any amount out of square will easily show.

    PROS: Good build quality
    Very secure once installed
    Simple to use

CONS: Monoprice NEEDS to put a cutout template in with these.
    They don't sit 100% flat

    It's the little things...
I continue to convert any and all to Monoprice. That's why I really want everything to be perfect. But when I ordered a few different items, my three brackets were just thrown in the box. I had to throw one of them away because the tab broke. No big deal - it's $1.28 - but you know where I'm going with this.

PROS: Same product that Lowe's and Home Depot sells, but about $5 cheaper.

    CONS: Packaging

    Simple and to the point
It's nice to be able to pick these up with the rest of your order instead of having to make a separate trip to a big box store. Worked well for me adding Ethernet to all the rooms in my new home.

Would recommend pre-tightening the wings to just bigger than the thickness of your drywall before installing. The screws don't come all the way threaded through so it's easier to get a grip on them before shoving them in, and once the bracket is in place, it'll be a few quick turns of the screwdriver to get 'em snug.

PROS: sturdy, cheap, low profile, familiar

    CONS: none

    Nice product but be advised
I purchased this bracket to use with the single gang low voltage wall plate (PID 3997). As for easy of use I would give the product a 10. After the hole was cut into the wall, it just slid in and with few turns of the screws and I had a neat looking secure bracket installed. The one deficiency would be the lack of a template for the hole. It took a little patience and guesswork to get the hole outlined properly but otherwise things worked out well.
The one caveat I will throw out there is for anyone wanting to use this with the single gang low voltage wall plate. When installed, the screw mechanism blocks the opening of the wall plate and cuts down the usable opening to about 2/3 the original size. Luckily I was only passing a few small speaker wires through so it wasn't a problem. But if you are planning on putting a power cord or other connectored cable through, I would recommend the 2-gang wall plate.

    PROS: Easy to install

    CONS: No cutout template
Screw mechanism gets in the way of the wall plate (PID 3997)

DIY or Professional Home Theatre Wire Solution?
This part provides for a simple solution when completing in-wall wiring runs for Home Theatre installations. Each unit includes an effective clamping system that grips the drywall firmly while still providing a method for mounting monoprice's wall plate systems. Installation takes mere minutes providing a finished wire access solution. I found the related installation video from monoprice to be very helpful.

PROS: 1.) Ample screw lengths and binding cleats allow for fire-rated drywall thicknesses in excess of 1"
2.) The interior dimension can be uses as a template for cutting the necessary hole in the drywall.
3.) The cleat system is foolproof.
4.) Fit’s all monoprice single-gang wiring connector plates for Ethernet and other wire connectors.

Figured I would purchase this along with some other accessories I would use with it rather than go to the big box store to pick up an 'old work' box. Works great. Monoprice continues to impress with order accuracy, packaging quality, speed of service and competitive price.

    PROS: Super simple to use

    CONS: Absolutely none

    Low Voltage Wall Mounting Bracket
Great design easy to install and remove if needed. Definitely what you need when running hdmi cables in wall and with the use of something like the recested low voltage wall plate.

PROS: Easy installation, good quality of materials, very inexpensive

    CONS: None

I like that I don"t have to cut off the back of a box to install a wall plate but like it more that i don't have to worry about how to screw a wall plate to the box. This bracket accepts a plate that lets the wire go into the wall without looking like an abyss, I order the bracket and plate too.

    PROS: easy to use

    CONS: price
