Can 3 of these be used in a triple gang box? If so what face plate should be used?
    A shopper on Apr 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sure. Use a triple gang Decora (or equivalent) faceplate, same as with 3 light switches (for example). The rear binding post cross-holes for bare wire insertion are horizontally oriented, however, so there is some fiddling required to introduce four twin conductor cables using bare ends. Would have been easier if the manufacturer had oriented the rear binding post cross-holes at 45 degrees to horizontal.
Can banana plugs be connected on both front and back for a complete connection? That would be a total of 16 banana plugs for this wall plate.
    A shopper on Dec 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. In fact, that's exactly how I wired mine. You could connect bare wire to either of the posts, on either side, but I found it a lot easier to put banana plugs on both sides. Made for quick and easy connection.

I used the Sewell Deadbolt Banana Plugs, and they were perfect for my needs. Quick, easy, secure connection.
I just bought a house and it has this exact panel connected to surround sound. Can you someone tell me what exactly plugs into these?
    A shopper on May 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These are pre wired speaker connections. U can connect home theater output to these and connect speakers to the other end of the terminal. U can buy banana plugs for this side. I usually make my own cable with banana plugs ok both side. One side going into reciever and one side going in this panel.

Does not match Leviton Decora Face Plate
The price is great, so I decided to use two of these (plus a third four port keystone), in a three gang box, with a three hole leviton decora face plate. Unfortunately, they look very similar, but are not. I had to file down the corners to make it fit. It looks O.K., but not as nice as I had wished.

    PROS: Price

CONS: It does not match the standard Decora face plate.

    Great value
I saw a similar 2-speaker plate at Lowe's was $18, and I think this is actually better made. No soldering required makes for easy installation. Highly recommend.

    PROS: Easy to install

    Easy to wire up

    No soldering required

    Banana Plug Wall Plate
I used this wall plate for my rear surrounds and snaked the wires in my basement and through the floor plate. Can use banana plugs or bare wire for both the back side of the plate (interior wall) or outside connectors. Good quality and easy to install. I used an old work junction box, secured my 12 gauge wire and hooked up the wires bare on the back of the wall plate and used banana plugs on the exerior of the plate. If you go this route make sure you get the deeper old work box. Finally, I have two other connections in case I decide to add two more for another room or a 7.1.

    PROS: Easy to install
Just looks cool on the wall
Allows connections for a 7.1 set up

    CONS: None

when you need 4 speakers in a single gang
If you need 4 speakers (8 input/outputs) in a single-gang unit this is the way to go. the Leviton snap-in plates only allow for 6 items in a single-gang.

Worked without any issues. Whole unit is fairly stiff which is good and bad (for those of us with old walls that aren't really that straight). I marked which binding post was which with a sharpie inbetween the binding posts. However, the way my setup was you can't see them when I put the entertainment unit there. oh well. user error. Still, good product, no problems and much cheaper than elsewhere.

This is one of the few four speaker binding post available so I am happy to get it. The binding posts seem well made.

However the shape of the outlet does not match the supplied plate. And the outlet has square corners where as the standard Decora plates have rounded so I had to file them down so my 2-gang plate would fit.

    Awesome Deal
I spent a lot of time online and at Lowes and Home Depot looking for an item like this, but the prices were silly. I needed to connect the speakers for my 5.1 home theater and this did the trick. Great price and the quality seems more than adequate for my needs.

Flush to the wall with or without wall box
It wasn't clear in the description but you can screw these direct to the wall without a mounting bracket/box. There's 4 holes you can put your own screws in and then the faceplate screws into its holes. If you do put this on a wall box, cut off the little spacer legs on back of the faceplate so that it sits flush against the wall.

    Binding post terminals
I used 2 of these to wire my in door speakers and amps to include a terminal binding post on the other side of the wall to connect my out door speakers easy to wire and use the banana plugs from speakers I had to drill a hole in the wall to the outside connect the two terminals together after passing the wires through sealing foam in the hole and a small junction box all my speakers plug in and disconnect easily The Tiki Bar is open

Nice, solid connections. Makes unhooking SO much easier! On the downside, this can feel kind of heavy when you are using 8 Banana Plugs attached to this thing. It gets a little bit cramped if used with a construction box and not the open-type of wall plate mount that MonoPrice sells. 8 wires in the back + banana plugs takes up a bit of space. Might as well get 10+ pairs of banana plugs to buy enough for this and some extras for whenever.

CONS: Can feel kind of heavy when you are using 8 Banana Plugs attached to this thing. Kind of cramped if used with a construction box and not the open-type of wall plate mount that MonoPrice sells. Get Banana Plugs with these - that's how the connect in the back!

    A perfect solution
I bought this item to make a a clean interface for the cables running to my side and rear 7.1 speakers. The quality of this item is outstanding. It was all that was advertised.
