I want to use an 82 foot version of your USB-A to USB-A Female 2.0 Extension Cable - Active, 26/22AWG, Repeater, Kinect & PS3 Move Compatible, Black, 82ft. where does this power adaptor plug into this cable?
    Christopher C on May 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If it’s like the shorter versions of the same cable... It doesn’t. I purchased a shorter version along with this AC adapter and (as recommended by another reviewer) the cable has no DC jack.
does this ac adapter work with Gaomon pd1560 drawing tablet?

Where do you plug the power cord into the 2 Port USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Active Extension / Repeater Cable? I have an ASUS BluRay DVD Reader/Writer that needs 2 USB 2.0 ports. One for data and one for power. I tried using a 4 port hub but since it doesn't have it's own power supply it wasn't powerful enough. I don't have any room on my desk so I need a cable that is at least 7 ft to reach. Thank you for your time and help. Be blessed! Amanda

provides auxilliary power for usb and pcmcia
This is the same as syba SD-AC-5V. So far, it works really well with the following USB and PCMCIA devices that I have also purchased from monoprice:

    1. PID 186 "NEC 2 PORT USB 2.0 CardBus PCMCIA CARD" aka syba SD-PCB-USB
    2. PID 2253 "Slim 2.5 Aluminum USB External Enclosure - Silver(930U2)", which is no longer available, and
    3. PID 5470 "All-In-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader with 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub - COMBO Style" aka CL-CRD50007

The output plug inside diameter is 1.2mm and outside diameter is 4.0mm. It is CENTER POSITIVE.

I suspect this will also work with PID 4111 "All-In-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader with 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub - COMBO Style", also no longer available.

Not sure why I was told this would work.
I was on the website looking for an HDMI hub. Needed a power supply for it. Used the Chat session and was told this was the needed power supply. The connector does not fit. I had to hack 2 other power supplies of my own to get the proper voltage and connector.

Not sure why I was told to purchase an adapter that doesn't fit the product I was purchasing.

    PROS: Can be plugged in

CONS: Does not fit the device it was purchased for

    Right product, right price
Purchased as an active power source for the 16ft 2 Port USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Active Extension / Repeater Cable. Works as expected and at the right price.

    PROS: Price

    Great Replacement ac adapter
Voltage and amperage are as says on the product description, and this product is very useful if you lose your ac adapter, or buy something second hand that doesn't come with one. I use it for an ethernet switch that I picked up cheap at the second hand store. Very Handy! Make sure you put a surge protector on whatever you are plugging this into, because you never know!

PROS: Standard length, Voltage and amperage match with what is said on here.

CONS: Cord is a bit short, but I used an extension cord to lengthen it.

Seems to be a quality product. No complaints.

PROS: Works very well. Shipped quickly.

    CONS: None.

    See Above.

PROS: I bought this power supply to connect to an external harddrive case running my external harddrive. The connector connected perfectly and power ran my 2.5 external harddrive perfectly. This is a big deal as previously, due to my own stupidity, I connected a 12 volt to a 500 gig and it killed it immediately. This power adapter is only 5 volt and it ran my drive perfectly. I am buying 5 more. Very fast shipment which helped me.

    CONS: None.

Works great with a PCMCIA laptop card

PROS: Works great with the NEC 2 PORT USB 2.0 CardBus PCMCIA CARD (pid 186) I bought here to expand out my USB ports on my laptop: essential for connecting peripherals that don't supply their own AC power.

CONS: None... still working great after a year of being mostly "on".

Not much to say. It provides power like it's supposed to.

PROS: Does exactly what it's supposed to.

    CONS: None.
