This is a great little connector for making your TV sit flat against the wall. It eliminates bending (and eventually killing) your HDMI cable... ouch! Just plug and play.
However, take note that depending on your TV's HDMI layout you will either need this connector, or it's opposite, the 270 degree connector. HDMI plugs only fit in one direction, so don't be like me and order the wrong one only to find out you've just angled your cable in the wrong direction! Look closely at your TV, then at the picture, make sure this is the one you need.
It does what it says. Make sure you know in which direction you are trying to route the cable and depending on that buy this connector. It's 90 degree connector and you might need 270 degree angle for your cable routing depending on your TV's HDMI and the side of routing upward/downward.
PROS: Excellent connection Hard plastic No problems
PROS: Exactly as described. Should work great for my soon-to-be wall mounted TV.
CONS: Might be a con for some people... It doesn't extend that far out from whatever you plug it into. For example, I can't use it with my ceiling mounted projector because the port is recessed / this adapter isn't enough to get past that "lip." But, like I said it works just fine with my TV (that doesn't have the port recessed).
Everything purchased from Monoprice aside from this part has always been of a high quality. Unfortunately when entering these into my HD setup, I started experiencing intermittent snow. After removing them, the intermittent issue went away.
I bought the 90 degree HDMI connectors with the 7331 flexible HDMI cable to pass the signal up through the wall from my A/V receiver to myTV. These allow the cable to plug in vertically and not horizontally where the cable sticks out. This lows the TV to be closer to the wall. Now there are no cables on the outside of the wall.
