Will this drive a projector from a MacBook Air using a 25 ft hdmi cable? Or do I need an active adapter?
    David L on Jun 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should. I am not familiar with whatever projector you have but I run mine from the adapter (from my mac) into a Samsung monitor. It works seamlessly. Hope that helps!
What is the length of this cable?
    Neil R on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, in regards to the length, this cable should be about 6inches. I hope this helps, thank you!
Can i use this cable to hook my Xbox to my mac. And will it support audio and video?

    Works how it should
I purchased this item about a year ago and realized I had yet to review it. I have used it with success for connecting my macbook to an hdmi cable. The picture quality is fantastic and the connector itself is very durable. However, I don't like how every time I plug it into my mini dvi port, it makes a clicking noise that sounds like a pin is breaking. I spoke with tech support and they said it is normal and no pins are breaking. I have used the connector 30 + times and nothing has broken, but I hate that noise! It freaks me out.
Don't let this deter you from purchasing this product. It is very well made and serves its purpose at an excellent value.

    PROS: Looks and feels sturdy
    Functions properly
    Good value

CONS: Clicking noise when I plug it into my laptop - sounds like pins breaking

    Don't Pay More Elsewhere
Don't pay lots of money for an "official" product. The Monoprice adapter works just great. One note: it doesn't do audio because Apple's port doesn't do audio. I knew that going in, so no disappointment for me.

    PROS: Price.
    Quality.

    CONS: None.

Ok. no audio but not really a con if you're not expecting it to have it.

I had to do some research but it was exactly what I needed for my 2008 MacBook. It does not transmit audio but I knew that when I bought it so I didn't have false expectations.

    PROS: Compact, easy to install

CONS: It's not very flexible but that may be because it's new. It's sensitive & has to have good contact or it won't show the image.

Works great and can't beat the price
Can watch instant view movies from Netflix through Macbook on 42 in big screen with no problem. Was able to accomplish this for around 30 bucks with this and couple of other cables through Monoprice.

This does not transfer audio, because of the iMac. I used item 1558 (Toslink to Mini M/M OD:5.0mm, Molded Type) to transfer the audio to my receiver/amp.

PROS: Works great for transferring video from my 2006 iMac to my LCD TV.

    Works great with Penryn Macbook
I bought this because I wanted to hook up my macbook to a 60"LG plasma. Works great, just had to change the display settings in System Preferences.

    PROS: Easy to use
    Plug and play

    CONS: None

    Great Product
Bought this to connect an iMac (7,1) to my TV via an HDMI cable. Be aware that no sound is transfered from the iMac via this method. You will need something like this: 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male (the one I bought was product id 5600)

    PROS: Well made
    Works perfectly

    CONS: None
