I aimed to use it to connect to my computer monitor that doesn't have an HDMI connection and it works completely fine. I was afraid the HDCP would prevent it from working but there are no problems. Luckily I have an A/V cable adapter as well to send audio to a female 3.5mm jack for headphones/speakers since the HDMI - DVI connection will not be able to send audio. This is the only thing I'm using it for so I am unable to review it on other applications but I'm sure it'll be fine for whatever.
PROS: Works fine with connecting to the PS3 via HDMI cable with my computer monitor.
Not sure what to say other than I bought from here based on reviews and articles on CNet, and these connectors and cables seem to be well made and do what they are supposed to do for fractions of the cost of retail stores.
I would buy again and probably will.
PROS: They are good cables, seemingly well made.... they do the job they are supposed to do and much cheaper than retail stores.
The raspberry pi has HDMI output - I use a HDMI to DVI converter to connect to one of my monitors - problem was it was on of a two monitor set for my pc - and it was a pain to turn the monitor upside down to change from pc/pi.
I installed this on the monitor cord and change change to from pi/pc in a jiffy.
PROS: exactly what i needed - and the shipping was FAST - and gold plated to boot...
