Will this work on a Red Hat Linux box?
    A shopper on Mar 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I assume Linux has standard USB device recognition, if a USB mouse works with your linux computer then this converter will work just fine. I have also used it on win98,winxp and win7 pc's. , pentium II systems with usb 1.0 even work with it.
does it work on xbox 1?

All you need to know, in one sentence
This is the one that works with IBM Model Ms.

See? All you needed to know. That said: it was easy to open the package, installed straightaway as a USB HID (so no additional drivers required), and has proven flawless in operation. Highly recommended.

PROS: Works with IBM Model M - all of them including M13
Works with lesser keyboards too, but who cares?
Works with any system you throw it at, no drivers needed
Holy crap look at that price!

CONS: Could do with a stronger flex boot on the USB side I suppose

Works perfectly with Belkin KVM switch
This adapter worked fine between a Windows 7 host (USB side) and an old Belkin KVM switch (PS/2 side). I am thankful for this because Belkin no longer makes such an adapter (discontinued) and a number of other brands have not worked in this setup.

On some of the adapters in the batch I ordered I found plastic flashing in the molding of the PS/2 connectors. It was nothing that would block the connection, but it wasn't the cleanest molding I am used to seeing on precision ports.

I should also note that these adapters do have distinct keyboard and mouse molded marks, not just the color coding, on the PS/2 cable connectors. While this is welcome, it was not clear based on the pictures available. There are brands out there that do not have such molded marks.

PROS: Works with Belkin KVM switch

CONS: Slight imperfections in PS/2 port moldings (no functional issues)

    MonoPrice does it again!
I spent over $10 on other stupid adapters that didn't work,, should have checked Monoprice first! Learn a lesson from me and save your dough.

PROS: Within my budget, plug-n-play, super fast processing and delivery!

CONS: Should have bought 2, should always have one in the chamber.

    PS2 to USB Cable
Overall the product did was it was intended to do. Shipping was quick. I would order this product again if I needed another PS2 to USB conversion. It was used to allow my PS2 keyboard to connect to my laptops USB port.

PROS: Item was inexpensive and worked to my satisfaction. Shipping was quick. And it arrived quickly.

    CONS: No cons.

Works great with my Dell AT101W keyboard! Registers multiple key presses at once, too.
Mouse port works great as well.

I bought this device because I have a nice Microsoft Internet keyboard from over a decade ago. My work laptop has a docking station that does not support PS/2. I bought this for that purpose. It is an added bonus that it supports all PS/2 devices (mouse and keyboard simultaneously).

I will now be connecting my track ball mouse too to achieve total ergonomic comfort.

    PROS: Fully functional USB connectivity

Adds USB connectivity for all of you PS/2 devices.

    Nice physical design.

CONS: When unplugging a keyboard and re attaching it, you must unplug the USB dongle and reconnect it to the computer for the keyboard to be recognized (may be a legacy PS/2 issue).

Worked as expected on different computers and with both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

    PROS: Inexpensive.

    CONS: Noe so far.

    Works Great
I just used a couple of these on my KVM for a couple of new machines that do not have both a special keyboard and mouse port. The keyboard and mouse connectors go to a port of the KVM and the USB end goes to the desktop or laptop. EASY install. A no-brainer purchase. Think I'll get a couple of more just to have around.

PROS: They just work. Great price.

    CONS: None.

works with my IBM M2 keyboard
This adapter works with my 1992 IBM M2 keyboard plugged into usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports on my desktop. It also works with my HP SK-2880 ps/2 keyboard. I have no issue playing Fallout 4 with either keyboard when used with the adapter.

    PROS: low price.
    high quality

    CONS: none
